In Diablo 4, managing resources is a crucial task for players when developing their characters. To address this challenge, there are various special effects available, with Legendary Aspects being particularly effective in restoring a character's primary resource.
One notable Legendary Aspect designed specifically for Necromancers in Diablo 4 is the Flesh-Rending Aspect. Though it has a specific niche application, it excels in supporting Summoners who heavily rely on Corpses to fuel their abilities. Here's a guide on obtaining this powerful Legendary Aspect.
How to Get the Flesh-Rending Aspect in Diablo 4
To unlock the Flesh-Rending Aspect in the Codex of Power, players must complete the Nostrava Deepwood dungeon located in the Fractured Peaks. However, it is important to note that the legendary effect obtained from the codex will always be at its weakest level. If players desire stronger versions of these effects, they will need to farm for rings.
Nostrava Deepwood is not overly challenging to conquer but may require a significant amount of time. It can be found in the Pallid Glade sub-region to the west of Kyovashad, and players will mainly encounter beasts and skeletons within its depths. The dungeon's layout resembles that of Maulwood, with spacious plots of land encompassed by patches of shrubs and trees, providing ample space for battles.
What Does the Flesh-Rending Aspect Do?
- Exploring the Dungeon of TreebonesThis particular dungeon requires players to defeat groups of monsters and overcome various Treebones. The significant gaps between these monster packs in the dungeon will necessitate a considerable amount of walking. It is advisable to equip yourself with items and abilities that increase your movement speed. Additionally, make sure to interact with any shrines you encounter along the way to activate a temporary boost in swiftness that persists until the effect wears off.
Equipping the Flesh-Rending Aspect enhances the ability of Decompose to generate Essence. With this Aspect, Decompose grants 20-40 Essence whenever it produces a Corpse. Considering that the skill generates Corpses every two seconds, the Legendary Aspect effectively boosts the Essence generation of Decompose by an extra 10-20 Essence per second.
This is particularly beneficial for minion builds that incorporate blood surge, bone spear, and bone spirit as powerful essence-consuming abilities. The decompose skill immobilizes the necromancer while casting, making it necessary to have a group of skeletons or a bone golem to draw aggro for them. Fortunately, this skill has upgrades that either significantly slow down enemies or increase the damage they receive from minions.
By combining flesh-rending with the rotting aspect, there is a chance to summon up to two additional corpses every few seconds. These corpses can then be consumed with raise skeleton or corpse explosion, resulting in even more essence gained, assuming skill points have been invested into the grim harvest passive.
Diablo 4 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.'
