After a decade on air, the Attack on Titan anime TV series recently concluded with Attack on Titan: The Final Season. Fans eagerly anticipated the animated adaptation of the final Attack on Titan storyline, celebrating its dramatic conclusion while playfully paying tribute to the series' fallen hero. The series finale not only overwhelmed streaming sites like Crunchyroll, crashing their servers, but also caused the new ending theme song, "Itterasshai" by Ai Higuchi, to skyrocket on YouTube, amassing 1.3 million views in just one day, surpassing the Spy x Family Season 2 opening theme song.
The series creator, Isayama, recently shared a heartfelt message with Attack on Titan fans worldwide, expressing gratitude for their support over the course of 10 years. Isayama also offered a sincere apology to studio MAPPA for the challenging task of animating the incredible yet intricate action sequences in the final season, which even he struggled to illustrate for the manga. Isayama took to social media to share a special illustration featuring Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert, while Yuichiro Hayashi, the anime director of Attack on Titan: The Final Season, also shared his own special illustration.
The Attack on Titan anime has concluded, but fans can look forward to an upcoming art book that includes a bonus story for the manga and a sneak peek of Isayama's new series, Akudo. You can stream Attack on Titan on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
