A United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Mexico City had to be redirected to Los Angeles on Friday due to an issue with the plane's hydraulic system. This marked the fourth emergency situation for the airline within a week, which included incidents such as a tire falling off one flight and an engine catching fire on another.

The Airbus 320, which had 105 passengers and five crew members on board, landed safely in Los Angeles. Both United Airlines and the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that everyone disembarked at a gate without any issues. Passengers were then accommodated on a different aircraft to continue their journey to Mexico City International Airport, as stated by the airline.

The Airbus 320 is fitted with three hydraulic systems for redundancy. United mentioned that initial findings indicated that the problem only impacted one of these systems.

The FAA has confirmed that they will be conducting an investigation into the incident.
