Quavo and Offset delivered a performance at the 23rd annual BET Awards held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on June 25, 2023. Quavo later took to Instagram to share the heartfelt eulogy he read at the service. In the now-deleted post, the "Intentions" rapper wrote, "It's incredibly difficult to express how much I'll miss you because you're always with me and we did everything together. He never prioritized titles, recognition, or who received the most attention, that wasn't his concern. As long as we brought it back home to the family, nothing else mattered to him!"
He continued, "Although he was incredibly quiet, he paid close attention to everything happening in the room. This has always been his nature. Take was never bothered by anything, and he never bothered anyone. He was the epitome of tranquility, never getting angry or raising his voice. However, when he did speak up, his words held immense power, and everyone would listen because Take's words were final, and he was resolute in his decisions."
The Migos member concluded his post by expressing that his bond with Takeoff surpassed that of an uncle and nephew. He clarified, "I couldn't call you my brother since you are my sister's son, but now I finally understand. You are our guardian angel."
