Prince William, along with other well-known fathers such as Eric Decker, received an outpouring of affection on Father's Day in 2023.
To commemorate the occasion on Sunday, June 18, the 40-year-old Prince of Wales shared a new portrait featuring himself and his three children. Prince William, together with his wife Princess Kate, has three children: 9-year-old Prince George, 5-year-old Prince Louis, and 8-year-old Princess Charlotte. The photograph, captured by Millie Pilkington, showcases the joyous expressions of the three youngsters as they sit beside their father on the picturesque grounds of Windsor Castle. Notably, all four family members charmingly coordinated their outfits in shades of blue.
In a recent interview with London's The Times, William discussed his new Royal Foundation project aimed at addressing homelessness. He also mentioned his intention to educate his children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, about this important issue. William expressed his desire to find the right time to introduce them to a homeless organization, taking into consideration their schooling. He shared that during the school run, they often have conversations about what they observe in their surroundings, including people sitting outside supermarkets in London.
He continued: "I would ask the children, 'Why are they there? What is happening?' I believe it is in everyone's best interest, it is the morally right thing to do, to educate the children, at the appropriate time, through meaningful discussions, so that they can comprehend. They will grow up understanding that some of us are privileged, some of us require a little assistance, and some of us must contribute more to help others improve their lives."
Decker, aged 36, began Father's Day by enjoying a cozy breakfast with his wife, Jessie James Decker, and their three children: Vivianne, 9, Eric Jr., 8, and Forrest, 5. The former football player was pleasantly surprised by heartfelt messages from his kids, who completed "All About My Dad" worksheets. Vivianne and her brothers also added their signatures to a shared holiday card.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy, on the other hand, dedicated the day to getting ready to embrace the arrival of their second child with his wife Peta Murgatroyd. Sharing a selfie taken at the hospital, the 43-year-old Dancing With the Stars alum expressed his excitement, stating, "It's go time. Made it to LA from Napa in an impressively short period! Thanks to soon-to-be three-time grandpa Sasha."
He expressed, "I am in awe of @petamurgatroyd and her extraordinary talent. I am eagerly looking forward to witnessing yet another one of her exceptional masterpieces! She is an incredible mother to her sons and is about to bring another fortunate individual into this world."
Chmerkovskiy and Peta Jane Beauty's founder, aged 36, revealed in January that they are anticipating the arrival of their rainbow baby following previous miscarriages. Earlier on Saturday, Murgatroyd, who is also a parent to 6-year-old son Shai with her spouse, hinted that she had begun experiencing contractions.

Prince William, Eric Decker, and other well-known fathers received an abundance of love on Father's Day 2023. The Duke of Cambridge, aged 40, commemorated the occasion on Sunday, June 18, by unveiling a new portrait featuring himself alongside his three children. Prince George, aged 9, Prince Louis, aged 5, and Princess Charlotte, aged 8, are the offspring of William and his wife, Princess Kate. Captured by Millie Pilkington, the photograph showcases the trio of little ones beaming with joy as they sit next to their father on the picturesque grounds of Windsor Castle. Notably, all four family members sported charming matching blue attire.
In an interview with London's The Times, William discussed his new Royal Foundation project aimed at addressing homelessness. He also shared his thoughts on when it would be appropriate to introduce his children to a homeless organization, stating that he wanted to find the right balance with their schooling. The Duke of Cornwall explained that he and his children often discuss what they see during their daily school runs, such as the people they would encounter sitting outside supermarkets in London.
He continued to address the children, asking them why those in need are in their situation and what is happening. In his opinion, it is beneficial for everyone to expose children to these realities at the appropriate time and through open dialogue, so that they can develop an understanding. By doing so, they will grow up realizing that while some are fortunate, others require assistance, and it is essential for those who can to lend a helping hand and improve the lives of others.
