Unforgettable Debut: Discover the Heartwarming Story Behind Baby Jack's Surprise Appearance in 'On Fire'

Peter Facinelli reveals the heartwarming reason behind his 3-week-old son Jack's adorable cameo in his latest film 'On Fire' In an exclusive interview with Us, the actor shares the touching details of this special on-screen moment Don't miss out on this delightful story!

Peter Facinelli's 12-month-old son, Jack, has already made his first appearance on the big screen. In a recent interview with We, the 49-year-old actor discusses his decision to feature his baby boy, whom he shares with fiancée Lily Anne Harrison, in his upcoming film.

On Fire, based on true events, features Facinelli as Dave, a man who becomes trapped with his family amidst devastating wildfires in their California town. The poignant drama reflects the current state of the world, as explained by Facinelli: "It aims to inspire hope and honor the courageous firefighters and first responders who courageously face the ongoing threat of these terrible wildfires."

When the film's director tested positive for COVID during production, Facinelli was called upon to take over as director. Viewing this as a special chance to exercise his creativity in the editing bay.

“In the scene, my character is sitting at a roadblock while a car approaches. He desperately wants to get through to his family, but they tell him he can't. As the car passes by, there are sounds of people coughing, intended to remind him of his family. However, it felt like something was missing," explains the Twilight alum.

Facinelli recalls thinking, "Maybe adding a baby crying in the backseat would give it more intensity." He mentions that initially, the film's team tested a fake crying baby, but it didn't sound authentic. "Then I thought, well, I have a baby at home. I can just record him."

“I returned home and on the following night, Jack expressed his distress [so] I captured the sound of his tears,” he elucidated regarding the infant, who entered the world in September 2022. “I incorporated his vocalization [and] that's his crying featured in the film. He makes a brief appearance when he was only three weeks old!”

Having already brought up three daughters (Facinelli has Luca, 25, Lola, 20, and Fiona, 17, with his former wife Jennie Garth), the Can’t Hardly Wait actor eagerly anticipates the unique joys and challenges that come with raising a son.

"This is uncharted territory for me as I grew up with three sisters, making me unaccustomed to the energy of boys," Facinelli reveals. "I don't want to make any assumptions, but since I haven't watched all the Marvel movies, I'll most likely make an effort to catch up on all of them."

"Regardless of his preferences for movies or activities, I will support and be there for him," he affirms.

Facinelli effortlessly embraced the role of a devoted father willing to go to great extremes for his family in the film On Fire.

With four children of his own, he admits that the thought of his family's lives being in danger is something he never wants to contemplate. However, he believes that there's an innate instinct that surfaces in such situations.

What truly captivates him about this movie is that each character experiences a moment of heroism.
