Stardew Valley captivates players with its exciting Quests that provide rewards and a sense of purpose. These Story Quests take players on thrilling adventures, whether it's searching for precious gems and treasures or battling formidable creatures. Each Story Quest gradually reveals the hidden wonders of Stardew Valley.
Beyond the serene appearance of Pelican Town lies a vast Mine filled with adventure, just waiting to be explored. This ancient mine shaft is situated in the northern section of the Mountains, obstructed by rock debris until Spring 5, Year 1. Players gain access to this area once they receive a letter from Joja Community.
How to Complete the “Explore the Mines” Story Quest
After the 5th of Spring, players can unlock the Mines. Upon entering, a cut scene will be triggered where Marlon provides players with a Rusty Sword and initiates the quest "Explore The Mines." Marlon, an NPC, directs players to venture into the Mines for exploration, warning them of potential danger.
To complete this quest, players must reach Level 5 of the Mines. The Mines are comprised of 120 levels, referred to as floors, which are further divided into three sections of 40 levels. Each section features a distinct theme, including 'The Brown Earth,' 'The Frozen Earth,' and 'The Lava, Purple Earth'.

In order to advance in the Mine levels, players must locate the ladder. The ladder is uncovered on each floor when players break rocks or defeat enemies using their swords. If a level is full of monsters, all enemies on that level must be eliminated before the ladder will appear. As it is generated randomly, the ladder can be located anywhere on the floor.
There is a 15% chance for a ladder to randomly spawn after defeating each monster, while destroying rocks only has a 2% chance of spawning a ladder. The most efficient way to find ladders is by killing enemies in the Mines, as it requires minimal stamina.
Upon reaching level 5, players will have their progress automatically saved and gain access to an unlocked elevator. This elevator can then be utilized to swiftly reach this particular floor on future visits to the Mines. In this area, progress is saved every 5 levels.
Players have the option to craft a Staircase as an alternative method for quickly descending one floor in The Mines. It is important to note that this option is not available on levels 0 or 120 of the Mines. Each Staircase is designed for one-time use only. Once players reach Mining Level 2, they can acquire the crafting recipe necessary to craft a Staircase.
Stardew Valley can be played on various platforms, including Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
