Joey Graziadei recently spoke out about the comments regarding his "yellow eyes."
"Hey everyone, I hope you're all having a great day," 28-year-old Joey shared on Instagram on Thursday, February 29. "I just wanted to quickly address something that I've been seeing a lot of comments about, which is my yellow eyes."
When I was in high school, I got sick and was out for about a week and a half. My mom suggested that it would be a good idea to go see a doctor to get checked out.
The lead of The Bachelor season 28 shared that he recently had some blood work done. The results showed that he had a high bilirubin count.
He explained, "This could indicate a potential issue with my liver." Following this discovery, he underwent a liver ultrasound and consulted with other doctors. Fortunately, they ruled out conditions like hepatitis but identified that he has a condition known as Gilbert syndrome.
Joey shared, "I've been reassured that I am healthy overall. One thing to note is that it does impact the whites of my eyes, giving them a slightly yellowish tint similar to jaundice. I plan to keep a closer eye on this aspect moving forward into the new year."

Editor's P/S:
Joey Graziadei's recent revelation about his yellow eyes has shed light on a condition known as Gilbert syndrome. This condition, which affects the liver, can cause the whites of the eyes to appear slightly yellowish. While Gilbert syndrome is generally harmless, it can be a cause for concern if it is not properly diagnosed and treated. Graziadei's openness about his condition is commendable, as it helps to raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with liver disease.
It is important to note that the yellowing of the eyes is not always a sign of Gilbert syndrome. It can also be a symptom of more serious liver conditions, such as hepatitis or cirrhosis. If you are experiencing yellowing of the eyes, it is important to see a doctor to rule out any underlying medical conditions. Early diagnosis and treatment can help to prevent these conditions from progressing and causing further damage to the liver.
