Consuming an excessive number of fingers in one sitting put immense stress on Yuji's body. It struggled to adapt quickly to the large intake of cursed energy. This caused Yuji to temporarily lose control of his body as Sukuna, the ancient curse, asserted dominance for a brief period. The stolen fingers played a crucial role in significantly amplifying Sukuna's power within Yuji during the events in Shibuya. This allowed the king of curses to directly participate despite being sealed away for centuries. Yuta managed to activate the stolen technique "Cleave" on Sukuna in Shinjuku with a katana containing the stored domain, successfully cutting Sukuna's face.

Sukuna had regained his full power and soul by consuming the fingers collected by Yuji, Uraume, and Rika. These fingers were originally part of Sukuna's divided power from over a thousand years ago. With all twenty fingers now in his possession, Sukuna had finally restored his original strength.
