Reality Augments were introduced in Chapter 4, capturing the attention of the Fortnite community and garnering a positive response from fans. These Augments offer players a fair and balanced opportunity to enhance their gameplay and explore new possibilities within the game. Chapter 4 Season 3 introduced jungle-themed Reality Augments, along with the return of some beloved options, while others were removed. This comprehensive guide will outline all the Augments available in Chapter 4 Season 3 and provide a detailed explanation of how they function in Fortnite.
How to Activate Reality Augments
Reality Augments will not be immediately available at the beginning of the match. Once the Battle Bus departs from the waiting island and begins its route, a countdown of two-and-a-half minutes will commence. Once the countdown is complete and the first Storm Circle appears on the map, players will have the opportunity to select their initial Augment.
Players will be presented with a choice between two randomly generated Reality Augments. If they are not satisfied with either option, they can opt to reroll for two different choices. This process is entirely based on chance, and there is a possibility that the same Augments may appear again, making it somewhat precarious. The first reroll in a match is free, but subsequent rerolls will require a payment of 100 gold bars.
Reality Augments will remain active throughout the entire duration of the match, without any option to deactivate them. As a result, players must constantly be aware of their surroundings, carefully consider the weapons they plan to utilize, and adapt their gameplay style accordingly. Each player is allowed to select a maximum of four Reality Augments for each match.
Available Reality Augments
Fortnite offers players four different categories of Reality Augments: Combat, Game Changer, Mobility & Scouting, and Looting Reality Augments. Each of these categories serves to enhance a specific aspect of gameplay throughout the entire match.
