In Elden Ring, players can easily get lost in its vast world and multitude of bosses, making exploration a daunting task. Many players often overlook the importance of the underground areas, such as the lair of Mohg, Lord of Blood, in favor of the more obvious bosses like Rennala. However, there are numerous underground areas to be discovered, each with its own set of bosses and challenges. Tarnished adventurers may need to navigate elevators or defeat formidable enemies like General Radahn to access these hidden areas. Quests like Ranni the Witch's Astel, Naturalborn of the Void, or Fia the Deathbed Companion's Lichdragon Fortissax are also tied to specific underground locations.

All Underground Region Bosses, Locations, And Drops In Elden Ring

Each location in the Underground Region can be divided into various sub-regions that each have a different number of bosses.

Fia's Champions

Upon reaching Deeproot Depths through a coffin in the Deathbed Companion Quest of Elden Ring, players will encounter a challenging boss in an open area near the Across the Roots Site of Lost Grace. The boss battle consists of three phases, so players must use their Flasks wisely to emerge victorious. Defeating Fia’s Champions will yield a rewarding bounty of 40,000 Runes and Fia’s Mist.

Lichdragon Fortissax

To access Godwyn, the Golden's corpse in the Prince of Death's Throne, players must first defeat the formidable Lichdragon Fortissax. However, this can only be achieved by obtaining the Cursemark of Death, which can be acquired from the Divine Tower of Liurnia, but only after obtaining Ranni Nokron's hidden treasure. Once players have defeated Fia's Champions and given her the cursemark, they must speak with her three times and enter her dreams to engage in a fierce battle against the Lichdragon Fortissax. Defeating the dragon will earn players 90,000 Runes and the Remembrance of the Lichdragon.

Crucible Knight Siluria

Siluria is a formidable Crucible Knight in the Lands Between, known for her exceptional combat skills. She is typically found in Deeproot Depths, which is located northwest of The Nameless Eternal City Site of Lost Grace. Defeating her will reward the player with 25,000 Runes and a powerful Elden Ring weapon known as Siluria's Tree.

Erdtree Avatar

Upon successfully defeating the Gargoyles Duo and utilizing the coffin to access Deeproot Depths, players will come across the Erdtree Avatar, the first boss. The boss can be found wandering near the Great Waterfall Crest Site of Lost Grace and rewards players with 10,000 Runes and Staff of the Avatar.

Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella

Located in Nokstella, Eternal City, the Dragonkin Soldier is an optional boss that offers players 12,000 Runes and the Frozen Lightning Spear Elden Ring Incantation upon defeat. This challenging encounter is not for the faint of heart, but the rewards are certainly worth the effort.

Dragonkin Soldier

In the Underground area, there are two Dragonkin Soldiers that drop valuable loot. One is located southeast of the Lake of Rot Shoreside Site of Lost Grace in Ainsel River and drops 58,000 Runes and a Dragonscale Blade. The other can be found southwest of the Siofra Aqueduct in Siofra River and drops 16,000 Runes and a Dragon Halberd.

Astel, Naturalborn Of The Void

Astel, a feared creature known as the Naturalborn of the Void, is infamous for its destruction of the Eternal City long ago. Those who dare to challenge this boss in Elden Ring must be prepared for its deadly gravity attacks. Astel can be found after obtaining a coffin in the Grand Cloister of Ainsel River. Those who manage to defeat the Naturalborn of the Void will be rewarded with 80,000 Runes and the highly coveted Remembrance of the Naturalborn.

The Valiant Gargoyle Duo

Deep within the Siofra River, within the depths of the Siofra Aqueduct, lies a formidable challenge in the form of two Valiant Gargoyles. The first is armed with the Twinblade, while the second wields the mighty Greatsword. Engage in combat with the first and be prepared for the second to join the fray. Taking down both Valiant Gargoyles will yield a rich reward of 30,000 Runes, as well as the coveted Gargoyle's Greatsword and Gargoyle's Twinblade.

Regal Ancestor Spirit

In order to reach the boss room where the Regal Ancestor Spirit awaits, Tarnished must successfully complete a series of steps. The first of these steps involves activating six pillars located throughout Hallowhorn Grounds in Nokron the Eternal City. Once all six pillars have been activated, Tarnished will be able to engage in battle with the Regal Ancestor Spirit. Defeating this boss will award Tarnished with 24,000 Runes and the highly coveted Remembrance of the Regal Ancestor.

Mimic Tear

The battle with Mimic Tear in Elden Ring offers a unique challenge as players must face off against an exact copy of themselves within the Eternal City of Nokron. Defeating this formidable boss rewards players with 10,000 Runes, two Larval Tears, and a Silver Tear Mask, making it a highly sought-after victory.

Ancestor Spirit

Similar to the Regal Ancestor Spirit, the Ancestor Spirit boss can only be accessed by activating pillars. However, this boss requires eight pillars instead of the previous six. Upon defeating the boss, players will be rewarded with 13,000 Runes and a collection of valuable Ancestral Follower Ashes.

Mohg, Lord Of Blood

The fearsome Mohg, known as the Lord of Blood, is a formidable Shardbearer that awaits those brave enough to face him in the depths of Mohgwyn Palace, located within the treacherous Siofra River. To reach this perilous location, adventurers must either progress through the challenging White Mask Varre Questline or utilize a teleport waygate found in the treacherous Mountaintops of the Giant. Those who successfully defeat this Demigod will be rewarded with 420,000 Runes, Mohg's Great Rune, and the coveted Remembrance of the Blood Lord.
