Highlights
An exceptional find has been made by a player in Diablo 4—an exceedingly scarce and immensely potent Brutal Heart. This extraordinary artifact inflicts an unrelenting curse upon adversaries, amplifying its impact in combat situations.Unlike other Malignant Hearts, this peerless heart mandates the presence of a minimum of 0 enemies to unleash its full potential, rendering it distinctly unparalleled.
Despite the positive reception among players, there are still areas in Diablo 4 that require attention from the developers to enhance the overall gaming experience. One player in particular has stumbled upon a seemingly problematic Brutal Heart, which has garnered significant attention and criticism from the community. This Malignant Heart variant was introduced in Diablo 4 Season 1 and has sparked widespread discussion and debate among fans.
Diablo 4's Season of the Malignant has introduced four powerful hearts - Brutal, Vicious, Wrathful, and Devious - that players can socket into matching items. These hearts grant the character certain abilities, similar to perks obtained through Legendary Aspects and gems. Among them, Wrathful hearts are the rarest and most potent. However, a player recently discovered a rare and incredibly strong Brutal Heart called the "Caged Heart of the Decrepit Aura."
Shared on the Diablo 4 subreddit by user Loglover666, the player posted a photo of this Brutal Malignant Heart, which appears to be overpowered. Its perk description reveals that it automatically curses enemies with the Decrepify skill for 12 seconds when there are "at least 0 enemies" near the player. Decrepify slows and weakens enemies within a cursed area, with a typical duration of around 10 seconds. This Brutal Heart effectively keeps this effect active at all times, making it an excellent addition to any Necromancer build in Diablo 4.
The community has been discussing this particular aspect because it has a unique perk that only requires "at least 0 enemies" to activate. While other Malignant Hearts require more enemies, players are eager to obtain this one because it automates a crucial skill for Necromancers in Diablo 4, making it valuable for higher level activities. Some players speculate that this may have been a mistake by the developers and could be adjusted in the future, but Blizzard has not addressed this yet, leaving room for the possibility that it was intentionally designed this way.
Although players have been disappointed with the Season 1 update in Diablo 4, the addition of this item has slightly improved the overall mood. However, it does not dismiss the fact that there are still numerous issues that the developers need to address in order to enhance the gaming experience. Fortunately, Blizzard has recently announced a series of upcoming changes for Diablo 4 during an emergency Campfire chat held last Friday.
Diablo 4 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
