A fan-made trailer for Venom 3 has surfaced, depicting a potential showdown between Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man and Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock. As the third installment of Sony's Spider-Man Universe, Venom 3 is set to begin filming this year under the direction of Kelly Marcel. Despite the lack of official details regarding the plot, fans are eagerly speculating about what the finale of the trilogy may entail. Among them is Stryder HD, a well-known YouTube editor who recently released a fan trailer for the upcoming sequel titled Venom: Enter the Multiverse, which includes the appearance of Garfield's Spider-Man.
The cleverly titled Venom: Enter the Multiverse references the appearances of both Hardy and Garfield in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during Spider-Man: No Way Home. It remains to be seen whether or not Venom 3 will address Eddie's short-lived visit to the MCU, especially considering that a piece of the Symbiote was left behind in that universe.
The possibility of Peter Parker making an appearance in Venom 3 remains uncertain. However, the Spider-Man Universe under Sony is drawing closer to finally featuring the beloved web-slinger. In a recent trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Spot appears in the live-action universe, albeit animated in front of Mrs. Chen from Venom. This seemingly small cameo is a significant milestone as it marks the crossing over of the Spider-Verse franchise with the Venom characters.
Given the similarities between Sony's Spider-Man Universe and the world established in The Amazing Spider-Man films, it would be fitting to see Garfield's version of the web-slinger make an appearance. Furthermore, it seems inevitable that Eddie and Spider-Man will cross paths in Venom 3, and it would be a truly epic moment for fans if the two iconic characters shared the screen together in a meaningful way. As production on Venom 3 gets underway, we eagerly await news on whether Spider-Man will indeed be a part of Hardy's potential final installment.
