Some Bachelor Nation splits hit harder than others.
After months of speculation, Becca Kufrin confirmed in September 2020 that she and Garrett Yrigoyen ended their engagement.
"I want to share that Garrett and I have mutually decided to end our engagement," announced the Bachelorette from season 14 on her podcast, "Bachelor Happy Hour". "After having many thoughtful discussions, we reached this conclusion. It wasn't a sudden decision; rather, it was based on a culmination of factors. It wasn't solely triggered by one Instagram post or external opinions or comments. There are multiple layers to any relationship, and I won't be disclosing further details. What I am telling you now is all that matters."
The couple had become engaged during the grand finale of The Bachelorette in August 2018. Fans began to suspect trouble in paradise when Kufrin emotionally addressed Yrigoyen's support for the police amidst the Black Lives Matter movement during a June 2020 episode of "Bachelor Happy Hour", alongside cohost Rachel Lindsay.
"Despite our recent decision, the years we spent together and the countless memories we created will always hold a special place in my heart," expressed Kufrin. "I will forever cherish this chapter of my life with gratitude and love.”
Fortunately, Kufrin found her happily ever after with Bachelor in Paradise co-star Thomas Jacobs. In May 2022, after seven months of dating, she proudly announced their engagement on Instagram. In a surprising turn of events, Kufrin revealed that she was the one who proposed to Jacobs, captioning a series of engagement photos with, "In an unexpected twist...HE SAID YES!"
Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph ended their relationship in 2020 after meeting and falling in love during the filming of season 23 of The Bachelor in 2019. In their individual statements, both individuals expressed their commitment to maintaining a friendship despite the breakup.
"Colton and I have ended our relationship, but we have chosen to maintain a significant presence in each other's lives. Despite the challenges we have faced, we share a unique connection that will endure," expressed Randolph on May 29th.
Underwood further commented, "Occasionally, individuals are simply destined to be friends, and that's perfectly acceptable. We have both experienced tremendous personal growth and have weathered numerous trials together. This signifies not the conclusion of our tale, but rather the commencement of an entirely fresh chapter for us."
After accusing Underwood of attempting to monetize their breakup, Randolph and Underwood eventually unfollowed each other on social media. In the year 2021, several other couples from the show also experienced separations, including Clare Crawley and Dale Moss, Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark, as well as Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes, all of whom ended their respective engagements.
Clayton Echard and Susie Evans ended their relationship in September 2022. The Bachelor franchise has been bringing people together since 2002, with Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter being the first couple from Bachelor Nation to tie the knot in 2003. Meeting during the filming of the inaugural season of The Bachelorette, they recently celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary in December 2021.

Bachelor Nation Couples Who Are Still Going Strong
Some Bachelor Nation splits hit harder than others.
After months of speculation, Becca Kufrin confirmed in September 2020 that she and Garrett Yrigoyen ended their engagement.
Garrett and I have made the decision to end our engagement, as revealed by the season 14 Bachelorette on her "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast. This conclusion was reached after numerous conversations and did not happen spontaneously. It was not solely influenced by an Instagram post or the opinions of others. There are many factors involved in a relationship, and I choose not to disclose further details. It is only important for you to know what I am sharing at this moment.
The two of us became engaged during the finale of The Bachelorette in August 2018. Fans became aware of issues within our relationship when Kufrin emotionally addressed Yrigoyen's support for the police in light of the Black Lives Matter movement on an episode of "Bachelor Happy Hour" alongside cohost Rachel Lindsay in June 2020.
"Despite our current decision, the years we spent together and the countless memories we created will always hold a special place in my heart," said Kufrin. "I am truly grateful and filled with love when I reflect on this time in my life."
Nevertheless, Kufrin eventually found her happily ever after with Thomas Jacobs, her co-star from Bachelor in Paradise. In May 2022, she announced their engagement on Instagram after dating for seven months. Breaking tradition, Kufrin proposed to Jacobs and expressed her joy with a series of engagement photos, captioned as: "In a surprising turn of events...HE SAID YES!"
In 2020, Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph ended their relationship. They originally met and fell in love during the filming of season 23 of The Bachelor, which aired in 2019. Both of them expressed the intention to remain friends after their breakup.
"Colton and I have ended our relationship, but we have made the decision to continue being in each other's lives. Throughout all of our experiences together, we have formed a unique and enduring bond," Randolph wrote on May 29.
Underwood chimed in, "There are times when individuals are destined to be friends, and that is perfectly fine. We have both undergone significant growth and have shared numerous challenges - thus, this is not the conclusion of our story, but rather the commencement of an entirely new chapter for us."
The exes eventually stopped following each other on social media after Randolph accused Underwood of attempting to capitalize on their breakup. Underwood publicly disclosed his sexuality as gay in 2021.
During the same year, there were several separations within the show, as Clare Crawley and Dale Moss, Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark, and Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes all called off their respective engagements.
Clayton Echard and Susie Evans ended their relationship in September 2022, joining the list of couples who have recently called it quits in The Bachelor franchise. Since its inception in 2002, the franchise has been known for its matchmaking endeavors. However, in 2003, Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter became pioneers as the first couple from Bachelor Nation to tie the knot. Having found love while filming the inaugural season of The Bachelorette, they celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary in December 2021.
