Sony has confirmed that the highly anticipated LeBron James PS5 accessories will be available for release on July 27. Along with this announcement, Sony has also unveiled pre-order details and other information regarding availability. The LeBron James PS5 cover and DualSense controller, which were initially introduced in early March, are part of the PlayStation Playmakers program.
The Playmakers initiative, introduced in late February, aims to showcase well-known personalities who are passionate about gaming. These individuals collaborate with PlayStation to create custom-designed gaming accessories. Among the impressive lineup of celebrities involved in the program are NFL athletes CeeDee Lamb and Ja'Marr Chase, Belgian soccer player Romelu Lukaku, WNBA star NaLyssa Smith, and comedian King Bach. Sony has revealed that there are currently 10 upcoming collaborations with PlayStation Playmakers in progress.
The recently launched initiative has resulted in the introduction of the LeBron James PS5 cover and DualSense controller. These two products are set to be released on July 27, with Sony confirming that the console cover will only be available in the United States. On the other hand, the LeBron James DualSense wireless controller will be accessible in several countries across both sides of the Atlantic. The cover faceplate will be priced at $64.99, while the collaboration between PlayStation 5 and the NBA legend will cost buyers $79.99.

LeBron James PS5 Cover Country Availability
The limited-edition LeBron James PS5 cover and DualSense controller will be available exclusively through the PlayStation Direct storefront in all target markets except Canada. In Canada, Sony will also utilize third-party retailers for distribution. Pre-orders for these accessories are set to start on Thursday, June 29th.
Sony has unveiled new products inspired by LeBron James's extraordinary career and his passion for video games. This design approach is exemplified by the prominent inclusion of the athlete's famous quote, "nothing is given, everything is earned," on both the console cover and the limited-edition DualSense controller for the PS5. The exact availability of these accessories remains undisclosed, with Sony stating that they will be offered for as long as supplies last.
These accessories mark LeBron James's second collaboration with Sony in less than a year, following his appearance in a humorous God of War Ragnarok commercial last autumn. While it is uncertain if the LA Lakers star will continue to expand his gaming repertoire, Sony plans to unveil more PlayStation Playmakers collaborations in the upcoming months.
