Tyler Hynes is always willing to collaborate with his longtime friend Andrew Walker in the Hallmark world, even if it means playing as opponents.

When asked about the possibility of being rivals, Hynes, 37, shared with We on Monday, March 18, during his promotion of his latest Hallmark movie, Shifting Gears, saying, "I think being rivals is a great idea. It hadn't crossed my mind before, but that sounds like a lot of fun."

Hynes and Walker, both 44 years old, are not just friends and Hallmark stars, but they are also family. Walker's wife, Cassandra Troy, happens to be one of Hynes' cousins. However, this familial connection doesn't stop the actors from being willing to engage in a friendly on-screen battle.

"We would need to bring out our competitive sides," Hynes joked about the possibility of a movie rivalry. "It would be all in good fun, but we would really have to give it our all and playfully tease each other. Do you catch my drift?"

There isn’t a Hallmark project in the works with Hynes and Walker as foes, but Hynes mentioned to Us that he was interested in "stealing" the idea.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for another collaboration between Hynes, Walker, and Paul Campbell after playing brothers in 2022's Three Wise Men and a Baby, and they are well aware of it.

Hynes shared with Us that there are still more stories to explore with Andrew, Paul, and myself, along with writer Kimberley Sustad. He mentioned that they make a great team and are open to creating more movies within the Hallmark universe.

He also mentioned that although there are details to work out, there is definitely more enjoyment to be had by exploring different relationships and dynamics between characters.

Hynes is excited about reuniting with his Three Wise Men costars. He also mentioned that there are a few Hallmark movies that he would love to see get a sequel.

One of the movies he mentioned is "It Was Always You." Hynes explained that this movie is often talked about and Erin Krakow, his friend and costar in the film, shares his passion for wanting to work together again.

Hynes expressed his excitement for revisiting the 2021 rom-com, describing it as a "fun" journey to "explore" once more. He mentioned his interest in seeing the characters, especially Erin, in a potential sequel, although he is uncertain if it will come to fruition. Despite the uncertainty, he emphasized that it would be an enjoyable project.

While Hynes remains unsure about the possibility of a sequel for one of his Hallmark movies, fans can still catch him in the upcoming film, Shifting Gears, which will be released this month.

In the film, which premieres on Saturday, March 23, Hynes faces off against his former girlfriend, female mechanic Jess (Katherine Barrell), in a car restoration competition.

This film is Hallmark's first as part of its Make Her Mark Women's Directing Program. Lowe is accommodating and enthusiastic about the performances and getting the best out of them.

Hynes was enthusiastic about Crystal's infectious energy, saying that everyone got along really well. Don't miss the premiere of Shifting Gears on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, March 23, at 8 p.m. ET.
