Trishelle Cannatella is responding to critics who have accused her of being anti-trans after her recent conflict with Peppermint on The Traitors.

"Finale day for The Traitors ️ I hope you all enjoy," the 44-year-old shared on Thursday, March 7. "I am honored to be a part of this amazing cast made up of some of the most wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. #TheTraitorsUS."

In the thread, a user responded to the Challenge alum with the hashtag #TransRightsAreHumanRights, referring to Trishelle's involvement in Peppermint's early elimination from the competition. Trishelle then shared her thoughts on the matter.

"Agreed. This is something I have been speaking out about for over 20 years," she replied on Friday, March 8. "You must be new!"

Trishelle received an accusation from another user of supporting Donald Trump. The user shared a GIF of an SNL skit featuring a cast member donning a "MAGA" t-shirt with the caption, "You." In response, Trishelle fired back.

She stated, "Look up my voting records and history. Be a better troll please."

Trishelle has been a strong supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community for many years. She gained fame as a reality star on MTV's The Real World and The Challenge. She has been actively involved in attending numerous Pride events and drag shows.

In February, Trishelle shared her experience on Instagram at the "Lundi Gras" event. She started the day with a Drag Brunch at @virginhotelsnola @commonsclubnola with the talented @laveaucontraire. The day ended with @redbeansparade and Krewe of Queer Beans walking parades. Trishelle posted a slideshow of photos from the event to document the memorable day.

In the second episode of The Traitors, Trishelle had a funny chat with Peppermint, a contestant from RuPaul's Drag Race. Trishelle jokingly accused Peppermint of being a traitor, to which Peppermint reacted playfully. However, Trishelle took it seriously and started campaigning against her. As a result, Peppermint was the first to be eliminated from the game.

Despite that, Trishelle ended up winning the game with the help of her ally CT Tamburello. Meanwhile, during the season 2 reunion special, Peppermint spoke up about the biases she encountered while in the castle.

Peppermint expressed to Andy Cohen her concern about being the first to go on a show like this without proof. She mentioned that without evidence, people tend to rely on their biases, leading to the targeting of whoever is the most different from the group. In such situations, individuals like her do not typically fare well.

Peppermint further elaborated that amidst the current anti-trans legislation in the United States, her participation in the show was not just about playing a game. She believed that she was representing her community, making her involvement in the show more significant.

She continued, "Most people don’t have a trans person in their personal life to learn from, so they rely on TV to understand how to interact with us. I was saddened that I couldn't see more positive representation for a longer period."
