Everton have agreed a £25.75m (€30m) deal with Serie A side Udinese for Portuguese striker Beto.
The 25-year-old has signed a four-year contract.
Beto scored 10 goals in 34 games while playing in Italy last season. He is now joining Everton as their fifth signing of the summer, and the fourth addition to their forward line. Everton is currently at the bottom of the Premier League, having lost all three of their opening games without scoring a single goal.

After Everton's weekend loss to Wolves, manager Sean Dyche addressed concerns about the team's lack of signings. He explained, "Despite people questioning our decision not to sign two strikers, we are working with limited resources and are actively working on negotiating deals."
Beto's fellow countryman, Youssef Chermiti, who was acquired from Sporting Lisbon earlier in the transfer period, made his first appearance as a substitute against Wolves. Additionally, Everton have made summer signings in the form of Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal and Jack Harrison from Leeds.
Beto expressed to evertontv: "I am delighted to become a part of Everton. I have always held a high regard for them as a club."
Everton is a highly esteemed and renowned club in the Premier League, boasting an illustrious history. Consequently, it was a straightforward choice for me to embark upon this new chapter. The fact that Everton persistently pursued my acquisition, both in January and during the summer, truly solidified their genuine interest in me. Additionally, the fact that my idol, Samuel Eto'o, once graced this club adds an extra layer of significance to my decision.
Beto transferred to Udinese from Portimonense, a Portuguese team, in the summer of 2021. He scored 11 goals in his first season in Serie A, and followed that up with a 10-goal performance in the previous season.
Expressing his thoughts, Everton manager Dyche stated, "We have been eager to enhance our striking choices in order to bring more attacking prowess to our team, and the addition of Beto accomplishes just that."
In the past two seasons, he has showcased his talent and made a significant impact in Serie A, one of the top leagues. Not only has he displayed remarkable goal-scoring abilities, but he has also excelled as a robust striker who can effectively carry the ball, hold up play, dominate in the air, and consistently contribute to the team's efforts. His impressive set of attributes instills confidence in us as we anticipate his prosperous journey with Everton.
