West Ham have bid £40m for Chelsea and England midfielder Conor Gallagher.
Gallagher has two years left on his contract and it is believed Chelsea would be open to extending it.
Gallagher himself would likely need to initiate any possible departure. The midfielder from England is currently participating in Chelsea's tour of the USA and managed to score in the victory against Brighton on Sunday. At present, manager Mauricio Pochettino is including him in his plans for the upcoming season.
We News understands Chelsea value him well in excess of £40m.
Gallagher is one of a number of midfielders West Ham are looking at following the departure of Declan Rice to Arsenal for £105m.
