A British equestrian rider, Georgie Campbell, tragically passed away on Sunday after falling from her horse during a competition at the Bicton International Horse Trials in Devon, southwest England.
Campbell, aged 37 according to her profile on the International Federation for Equestrian Sports' website, tragically passed away after falling at fence 5b. Medical professionals responded quickly, but, sadly, she could not be saved, as confirmed by British Eventing, the UK's national governing body for the sport.
Global Quest, the horse, was checked by the veterinarians at the location and was then taken back to the stable unharmed.

Campbell, who participated in the Nations Cup series for Great Britain, took part in over 200 events in her career and achieved six victories.
Her husband, Jesse Campbell, also a horse rider, represented New Zealand at the Tokyo Olympics three years ago. Jesse Campbell is now left to cherish her memory.
