Aeons, regarded as the equivalent of gods in Honkai: Star Rail, have existed since the dawn of time, with some not managing to survive over the years. Among them is Argenti, a Knight of Beauty dedicated to Idrila, the Aeon of Beauty, who is believed to have fallen long ago. Despite his commitment to a mostly deserted Path, Argenti is considered to be the most competitive Erudition character. Here's an insight into his abilities and tips on how to optimize his build.

Argenti abilities
Argenti's strategy centers around utilizing his energy and Ultimate. He has the option to unleash his Ultimate after accumulating 90 Energy or 180 Energy, depending on the player's preference. Energy refers to the gauge for his Ultimate, which fills up through attacking enemies or sustaining damage. His Talent enables him to charge his Ultimate at a much faster rate compared to other characters.
As an Erudition character, Argenti excels in attacking multiple targets rather than focusing on single foes like specific bosses. He serves as an ideal DPS for farming waves and engaging in battles with numerous enemies (e.g. Calyxes, Echo of War bosses, etc.).
Basic attack: Fleeting Fragrance
Argenti deals 50 percent of his ATK as Physical DMG to one enemy.
Skill: Justice, Hereby Blooms
Argenti deals 60 percent of his ATK as Physical DMG to all enemies.
Ultimate: For In This Garden Supreme Beauty Bestows
Argenti's Ultimate has two stages. The first stage requires 90 Energy, while the stronger second stage requires 180 Energy. You can distinguish between the two based on the circles around his Ult meter and the flower icon, which blooms when he reaches 180.
For the first stage, In This Garden Supreme Beauty Bestows, 90 Energy is consumed and it deals 96 percent of Argenti's ATK as Physical DMG to all enemies. On the other hand, the second stage, Merit Bestowed in "My" Garden, consumes 180 Energy and deals 168 percent of Argenti's ATK as Physical DMG. Additionally, it inflicts DMG equal to 57 percent of Argenti's ATK to a random enemy six extra times.
Talent: Sublime Object
Argenti replenishes 3 Energy and accrues a stack of Apotheosis for each enemy struck by his Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate. Each Apotheosis stack boosts his CRIT Rate by 1 percent, up to a maximum of 10 stacks.
Technique: Manifesto of Purest Virtue
Argenti afflicts enemies in the vicinity with Daze, preventing them from attacking. He inflicts Physical DMG equal to 80 percent of his ATK and restores 15 Energy.
Ascension Passives
Ascension 2 Passive--Piety: Upon the commencement of a turn, instantly acquires 1 stack of Apotheosis.
Ascension 4 Passive--Generosity: Upon the entry of enemy targets into battle, immediately replenishes 2 Energy for oneself.
Best Light Cone for Argenti
Ascension 6 Passive--Courage: Increases damage to enemies at 50 percent HP or lower by 15 percent.
An Instant Before A Gaze is a valuable asset, but there are more cost-effective four-star alternatives. Like any other DPS, Argenti benefits from higher ATK, Crit Rate, and Crit DMG. His fully-charged Ultimate delivers the most powerful blow out of all his skills, so enhancing the damage from his Ult enhances Argenti's overall effectiveness.
Before locking eyes, Argenti's signature Light Cone, "An Instant Before A Gaze," leverages the connection between Argenti's Ultimate and maximum energy. It boosts his overall critical damage by 36 percent. Additionally, it increases his Ultimate damage by 0.36 percent for each point of maximum energy, up to a total of 180. Since Argenti's maximum energy is 180, this results in a 64.8 percent increase in Ultimate damage.
The five-star Light Cone "Night on the Milky Way," from the main standard banner, also pairs effectively with Argenti. It raises the wearer's attack by 9 percent for each enemy on the field, making it especially effective during multi-target battles. However, any of the other four-star Light Cones mentioned below will also suffice.
Today Is Another Peaceful Day boosts DMG by 0.20 percent per Energy point, capping at 160 Energy for a 32 percent increase. Unfortunately, it is only available through Battle Pass purchase.
Make the World Clamor, a four-star Light Cone, increases Ultimate DMG by 32 percent at Level 1 and can reach a 64 percent increase at max level. An Instant Before A Gaze, a five-star Light Cone, offers additional buffs including Crit DMG, HP, DEF, and ATK increases.
The Seriousness of Breakfast can be used as a free-to-play option. While it may not be as powerful as Today Is Another Peaceful Day, you can increase its DMG by at least 24 percent when fully leveled up. Additionally, the wearer receives additional attack bonuses based on the number of enemies defeated. Here are the descriptions for each Light Cone mentioned above at Level 1:
An Instant Before A Gaze (5-star) boosts the wearer's CRIT DMG by 36 percent. Additionally, when the wearer uses their Ultimate, their Ultimate DMG increases based on their max energy. Each point of Energy raises the Ultimate DMG by 0.36 percent, up to a maximum of 180 points of Energy.
Night on the Milky Way (5-star) increases the wearer's ATK by 9.0 percent for each enemy on the field, up to 5 stacks. Furthermore, when an enemy is afflicted with Weakness Break, the wearer's DMG is boosted by 30 percent for 1 turn.
Today brings another peaceful day (4-star): Upon entering battle, the wearer's damage increases based on their maximum energy. Damage increases by 0.20% per point of energy, up to 160 energy.
Stir Up the World (4-star): The wearer regenerates 20 energy immediately upon entering battle and increases ultimate damage by 32%.
Best Relics for Argenti
The Significance of Breakfast (4-star): Boosts the wearer's DMG by 12 percent. With each defeated enemy, the wearer's ATK rises by 4 percent, accumulating up to 3 times.
An illustration of Argenti's perfect combination with Champion of Streetwise Boxing and Inert Salsotto.Argenti is a Physical damage dealer. Therefore, the Champion of Streetwise Boxing Relics are essential. If possible, equip a four-piece Champion of Streetwise Boxing set to increase Physical DMG by 10 percent and elevate ATK by 5 percent whenever the wearer attacks or receives damage. This effect can stack up to five times, potentially resulting in a 25 percent ATK increase.
If you don't have the perfect Champion Relics, combining two pieces of Champion with two pieces of Wild Wheat Musketeer can serve as a backup option. This allows you to still receive a minor ATK boost from the Musketeer's two-piece effect.
Now, let's quickly go through the bonuses for both sets:
Champion of Streetwise Boxing
Two-piece effect: Increases Physical DMG by 10 percent.
Four-piece effect: After the wearer attacks or is hit, their ATK increases by 5 percent for the rest of the battle. This effect can stack up to 5 times.
Musketeer of Wild Wheat
Two-piece effect: ATK increases by 12 percent.
Four-piece effect: The wearer's SPD increases by 6 percent and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10 percent.
Consider using the Inert Salsotto ornament set to boost Argenti's Crit Rate, resulting in a further increase in his Ultimate DMG when his Crit Rate is at 50 percent or higher. If reaching this Crit Rate seems challenging, the Space Sealing Station can be used as an alternative for an ATK boost, which can be farmed in the Simulated Universe at an early stage. Adjusting Relics may be necessary in order to reach the 50 percent Crit Rate. The Inert Salsotto ornament set increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8 percent and boosts Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG by 15 percent when the wearer’s CRIT Rate reaches 50 percent or higher.
Argenti Relic stats
The Space Sealing Station increases the wearer's ATK by 12 percent. Additionally, when the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer's ATK increases by another 12 percent.
Argenti's Skills scale based on his ATK. Crit Rate and Crit DMG are also important, especially for his Light Cone and Ornament Set. If you require a higher Crit Rate for Inert Salsotto, then a Crit Rate body piece may be necessary. However, if you already meet the Crit Rate requirement with Relic substats and Argenti's skill, then focus on increasing Crit DMG.
Relic | Main Stat | Sub-Stat |
Body | Crit DMG, Crit Rate | ATK, Crit DMG, Crit Rate, SPD |
Feet | ATK, SPD | ATK, Crit DMG, Crit Rate, SPD |
Sphere | Physical DMG | ATK, Crit DMG, Crit Rate, SPD |
Link Rope | ATK, Energy Regeneration | ATK, Crit DMG, Crit Rate, SPD |
Best teams for Argenti
It's important to prioritize ATK, but if you lack a character who boosts SPD, consider equipping SPD boots. The same applies to the Energy Regeneration rope, especially if your team lacks Support characters to help charge Argenti's Ultimate.
Argenti's Ultimate is crucial, so focus on enhancing it as much as possible. Surround Argenti with defenders and healers to ensure his safety while attacking. Support characters with energy recharge abilities can further aid in quickly building Argenti's Ultimate. While Argenti possesses self-recharging skills, additional support can accelerate his Ultimate's development.
Here are just a few examples that could work:
Argenti, Hanya, Tingyun, Huohuo
Both Tingyun and Huohuo can assist Argenti in charging his Ultimate by utilizing their energy regeneration-based Ultimates. In addition, Huohuo can serve as a healer with her restorative skill. Meanwhile, Hanya can help manage skill points and enhance Argenti's ATK and SPD with her Ultimate. Fu Xuan, Natasha, and Tingyun also play crucial roles in the team.
Tingyun is able to assist with recharging Argenti's Ultimate and boosting his ATK, even without Huohuo. Natasha diligently keeps the team alive by providing healing and cleansing when needed. Fu Xuan contributes by strengthening defenses and increasing HP and Crit Rate. If needed, another defender such as Gepard or Fire Trailblazer can be used instead of the Master Diviner.
Bronya continues to reign as a top-tier support, thanks to her skill in boosting allies' actions and providing numerous buffs. Hanya is also useful for regaining skill points, which will be necessary in large quantities. If Bronya is unavailable, other supports like Asta or Yukong can be used to consistently buff teammates. Other alternatives for support include Argenti, Fire Trailblazer, Natasha, and Asta (for free-to-play players).
Fire Trailblazer reduces damage and provokes enemies with their Skill, while also providing flimsy shields to allies when they attack. Asta enhances allies' speed and attack. If your team requires Imaginary DMG and is open to different buffs and playstyle, Yukong can be swapped in for Asta.
This free-to-play team may not have the best synergy with Argenti, but it utilizes characters that are likely to be essential for other teams and does not necessitate summoning from a banner.
