Riley Keough and other nominees for the 2023 Emmy Awards are sharing their thoughts after being acknowledged for their exceptional work in television. The nominations were revealed on July 12, and Succession emerged as the frontrunner in the drama categories. The acclaimed HBO series, which concluded in May after four seasons, received a total of 27 nominations, including an outstanding nomination for Best Drama Series. Additionally, Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, and Kieran Culkin, who co-starred in Succession, are all competing for the title of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
Ted Lasso received an outstanding 21 nominations in the comedy category, while The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel closely followed with 14 nominations. The highly popular shows, The Bear and Jury Duty, present strong competition.
Although scripted series traditionally dominate the Emmy Awards, the ceremony also recognizes talk shows, variety programs, and other genres. This year, Vanderpump Rules from Bravo is nominated for the esteemed Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program, drawing attention due to the recent scandal involving Tom Sandoval and his affair with co-star Raquel Leviss.
