Tom Schwartz from Vanderpump Rules may have upset his friend Tom Sandoval with a harsh joke.

During the Vanderpump Rules After Show on Tuesday, April 2, Sandoval, who is 41 years old, shared about how he misses Mya, the dog he got with his ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix in 2020.

“I miss her. I miss her a lot. I miss, like, running around with her, playing with her,” Sandoval said.

Schwartz, 41, then chimed in, “That’s rich considering you tried to murder her.”

Schwartz held a serious expression for a few seconds before bursting out laughing with Jax Taylor. Meanwhile, Sandoval kept a straight face.

The joke made by Schwartz and Jax was about a tense argument between Sandoval and Ariana, 38, on the latest episode of VPR.

Ariana confronted Sandoval for going into her room with the door closed. She expressed her anger by calling him a "dog murderer" during a group gathering. Sandoval had let her dog, Mya, into the room and locked her inside for hours. This caused Mya to chew on takeout containers, which could potentially harm her life due to the substances she ingested.

Ariana emphasized to Sandoval the importance of respecting her privacy and not entering her bedroom. She explained that her room is her only safe space at home, and she felt it was violated and wrecked by his actions.

Ariana and Sandoval ended their relationship in March 2023 due to Sandoval's affair with their former costar Rachel "Raquel" Leviss. Despite their breakup, they continued living together in their shared home until recently. Last month, it was confirmed that Ariana purchased a $1.6 million home in Los Angeles, which is 6.6 miles away from her previous residence with Sandoval.

During a recent episode filmed last summer, Ariana began the process of moving out of their home by making a list of furniture that she had paid for herself. In the same episode, she also had a tense conversation with Sandoval about Mya.

During a super awkward beach day with everyone from VPR, Schwartz praised Ariana and Sandoval for being great pet parents, despite their issues. Ariana didn't agree with the compliment.

She said, "I am a pet parent to both a dog and a cat. They belong to me. I paid for the adoption fees so I own [Mya]. That's it," she clarified. "Mya is my dog. I covered all the expenses related to her. I am the only one who has taken her for a walk. I'm the only one who has ever given her a bath. Suck my d--k."

After Sandoval replied with the argument that he had a right to their shared home because he found it, Ariana told him to stop talking to her. As a result, Sandoval decided to leave the group outing.
