Tom Sandoval Reflects on Wrapped Filming for 'Pump Rules' Season 11, Prefers Not to Revisit Drama

Tom Sandoval eagerly anticipates a shot at redemption in 'Vanderpump Rules' season 11, yet harbors mixed emotions about the airing of the drama-filled season, expressing a desire to move beyond the past

Tom Sandoval is eager for Vanderpump Rules to move past past issues when the show makes its return for season 11 in January.

“I can't predict the future,” Sandoval, 41, told We exclusively on Monday, November 27, while promoting the season finale of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. “I just hope that viewers can recall the person I've been for over a decade on the show — the person I've been most of the time.”

The Bravo star acknowledged that he and his Pump Rules costars consistently find themselves in challenging situations each season, and the upcoming episodes are no exception.

"We constantly find ourselves having difficult conversations with people we'd rather avoid," Sandoval shared about the show. "It's hard to stay composed...but you do your best. I'm relieved that filming for the season is over, but there's also a sense of not wanting it to air."

In March, it was confirmed that Sandoval had ended his long-term relationship with Ariana Madix after being caught cheating with fellow Pump Rules star Raquel Leviss. The fallout from the affair was shown on Pump Rules season 10 as it aired in the spring. Despite being booed at BravoCon recently, Sandoval is feeling "pretty good" in the aftermath of the cheating scandal.

"I'm doing well. I expected that to happen," Sandoval said to Us. "Our Vanderpump Rules panel had over 5,000 people, and I know when you have that many people together, it's going to be a bit like a sports game."

What “bothered” him the most, however, was what fans have said to him because of the scandal.

Sandoval expressed disgust at how some individuals have revealed a darker side of themselves, citing an incident at BravoCon where an attendee advised him to "just go away." He admitted to struggling on the edge at times, but urged people to consider their actions and behavior more carefully.

Sandoval left Pump Rules season 10 behind and embarked on a journey to New Zealand to participate in Special Forces, the Fox reality show where former military operatives guide celebrities through training exercises inspired by the special forces selection process.

Sandoval acknowledged that he still felt some lingering anger about his situation when he first joined Special Forces, but as the show went on, it began to diminish. Nonetheless, he is eagerly anticipating how he will react when Pump Rules comes back on the air.

"I still have some lingering anger there. I know that once the season starts airing and I see things, it’s like it always is," Sandoval said. "We relive things three times when filming Vanderpump Rules – in the moment while filming, when discussing it in our interviews, and then when we watch it back and do press. So, I’m hoping that it doesn’t resurface as intensely."
