Tom Brady won’t be returning to the NFL anytime soon.
Brady, 46, made it clear on his podcast "Let’s Go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray" that he has no intention of coming out of retirement. In a humorous manner, he mentioned that his family would not be thrilled if he attempted to return to football for a second time. Even when Mr. Beast suggested that Brady's potential return would greatly increase ratings, Brady dismissed the idea once again. He jokingly stated that his parents and children would call him if he teased the possibility, joking that he wouldn't make it through the night. Furthermore, Brady expressed that athletes are only permitted one unretirement, and he has already used his opportunity.
After over two decades in the league, Brady initially announced his retirement in February 2022. However, just a month later, he changed his mind. Before retiring for good in February, he played one final season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, having spent 19 years with the New England Patriots before joining the Florida team in 2020.
Now that he is no longer under the pressure of professional sports, Brady's priorities have shifted. In an exclusive interview with We in June, he explained, "I have the chance to think ahead, strategize, and plan to the best of my abilities. I am excited about finding new ways to challenge myself and make the most of these different opportunities."
Brady has shifted his focus to prioritize what truly matters in life, according to his explanation to Us. This includes spending time with his children and family, as well as engaging in new experiences such as traveling. Alongside these personal endeavors, Brady also remains dedicated to his professional commitments. Brady shares two children, Benjamin (13) and Vivian (10), with his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. He is also a father to Jack (16), whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.
Recently, Brady embarked on an amazing trip to Africa with his family in August. He described it as a remarkable reminder that life is ultimately defined by relationships and cherished memories. In a slideshow of pictures from the trip, Brady expressed his gratitude for the people who have been part of the most significant moments in his life – his children, family, loved ones, friends, and all those who have contributed to his incredible and adventurous journey.
Three months later, Brady reunited with his loved ones and brought them to the Patriots’ season opener, where he was recognized by the team at half-time.
"Returning to New England to commemorate our achievements was an incredibly meaningful experience that will always stay with me," he expressed. "Having the opportunity to bond with teammates, family, friends, coaches, and above all, the loyal fans of the Patriot nation, is a privilege I deeply appreciate."
Post-retirement has not only allowed Brady to spend more quality time with his children but has also opened the door to a new romantic relationship. Following his divorce from Bündchen in 2022, the 43-year-old Super Bowl champion has been surrounded by rumors of a budding romance with model Irina Shayk. Speculation intensified after Shayk was seen leaving Brady's house after spending the night.
According to an exclusive source in July, "Things are still in the early stages, but Tom has spent time with Irina on multiple occasions. Currently, his main focus is on his three children and enjoying himself, but he is definitely interested in getting to know Irina better."
Shayk, age 37, made headlines when she was photographed topless during a summer vacation with her ex-husband Bradley Cooper. However, another source confirmed that her relationship with Tom Brady is still going strong. Despite their busy schedules and commitments to their respective families and careers, they genuinely enjoy each other's company. Irina sees Tom as a kind and dependable person, and Tom feels comfortable around her. It's worth noting that Shayk and Cooper have a 6-year-old daughter named Lea De Seine.
