Commonly recognized as the Sorcerer Killer, Toji made his debut in the series as an immensely powerful antagonist. His extraordinary speed and reflexes initially positioned him as the most formidable character in Jujutsu Kaisen, until the emergence of Gojo Satoru.

How did Toji truly feel about his son Megumi in Jujutsu Kaisen?

Toji Fushiguro, the father of Megumi Fushiguro, is one of the most beloved characters in the series. Megumi, who was abandoned by his father at a young age, has very few memories of his parents. Toji was recently introduced in the anime, and the limited information available about him has sparked curiosity among fans about his love for his son and his background.

Toji Fushigure abandoned his son Megumi at a young age and almost forgot about his existence. However, that does not mean he did not love Megumi, as the boy was the one Toji thought of when he died, not once, but twice. Toji's actions, while deplorable, were aimed at acting in favor of Megumi's prosperity.

Toji Fushiguro is a member of the Zen'in Clan, one of the most powerful families in Jujutsu Kaisen. Despite being excluded from the family due to his lack of cursed energy, Toji lived as a social outcast. His exceptional strength stemmed from his Heavenly Restriction, which resulted in him being born with no cursed energy.

Toji represents an extreme case of Heavenly Restriction, as he possessed remarkable physical abilities and could fully utilize his body's potential. His resentment towards the Jujutsu society for not acknowledging his talents led him to consider them unworthy of his sympathy.

Following his wife's death, Toji acknowledged his inability to fulfill the responsibilities of being a good father to Megumi. Therefore, he made the difficult decision to sell Megumi to the Zen'in Clan. In contrast to his father, Megumi displayed exceptional potential from a young age due to his inheritance of the immensely powerful technique known as The Ten Shadows Technique within the Jujutsu World.

Despite his hatred for the Zen'in Clan, Toji made the decision that Megumi would thrive within the Zen'in family and receive a proper upbringing. Despite living as an assassin who targeted Jujutsu sorcerers for profit, there were two occasions in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime where he displayed a glimmer of compassion and expressed his love for Megumi in his own unique way.

The first instance occurred when Toji faced off against the newly awakened Gojo. After suffering a brutal defeat at the hands of Toji during their initial encounter, Gojo ultimately mastered the reverse cursed technique and returned as an enlightened God. With his newfound power, Gojo proved to be too formidable for Toji, leading to Toji's demise by the end of their confrontation.

In his final moments, Toji witnessed his son and said to Gojo, "In two or three years, my son will be handed over to the Zen'in Clan. Deal with that as you see fit." While this may not directly show Toji's affection for Megumi, it can be interpreted to some degree.

Fighting Gojo gave Toji insight into his personality, leading him to realize that Gojo would protect Megumi and keep him away from the Zen'in Clan. Another significant moment was when Toji returned from the dead to fight Megumi himself. This shocking encounter ended with Toji sacrificing himself for the second time.

Upon discovering that Megumi had not joined the Zen'in clan and still identified as Fushiguro, Toji understood that he had no unfinished business in the world. He believed that staying alive would only create more problems than it would solve. This demonstrates Toji's love for his son and his satisfaction with his son's well-being.

Toji is a deeply complex character who offers Jujutsu Kaisen fans a glimpse into the mind of a cunning and ruthless killer. Despite living a dishonorable life, he showed consideration for his son's well-being by sacrificing himself to save him from unnecessary harm.

While harboring a deep hatred for the Jujutsu Society, Toji continued to strive to prove his worth, even in his final battle against Satoru Gojo where he abandoned his principles to confront him head-on, knowing it could cost him his life. Despite his immense strength, Toji's defiance stemmed from his inability to overcome the pain of being separated from his own family.
