England's Under-21 team secured a perfect record with three consecutive victories, eliminating Germany from the European Under-21 Championship. In their last group match held in Batumi, England triumphed with a 2-0 scoreline. Early strikes by Cameron Archer and Harvey Elliott within the first 21 minutes ensured England's dominance. Consequently, England finished at the top of Group C, earning the maximum nine points, while defending champions Germany departed the tournament without a single victory.
England got off to a blazing start, taking the lead within four minutes as Jacob Ramsey delivered a brilliant through ball to Archer, who calmly placed the ball beyond Noah Atubolu to make it 1-0.
Just six minutes later, the Young Lions came close to extending their lead when Ramsey had a chance inside the area, but his low shot missed the far post.
In the 21st minute, Elliott of Liverpool showcased his brilliance by single-handedly extending Lee Carsley's side's lead. Starting from deep within his own half, the talented midfielder confidently surged towards the German defence, effortlessly evading their pressure, and elegantly placed the ball into the back of the net, securing a 2-0 advantage.

Germany needed a victory to improve their chances of qualifying, and they had an opportunity in the thirtieth minute. However, Kevin Schade, a forward from Brentford, failed to score as his shot from within the penalty area landed in the hands of James Trafford.
Schade remained Germany's primary offensive threat, and he almost managed to reduce the deficit just before halftime. Charging down the right flank, he attempted a shot, but it was deflected away by the goalkeeper.
In the second half, Germany did not pose much of a threat while England kept pushing forward. Cole Palmer had a few half-chances after Harvey Elliott's impressive shot was saved by Atubolu. With 15 minutes remaining, James Garner came close to scoring the third goal through some skillful teamwork, but the Everton midfielder couldn't direct his shot on target from a close distance.
