Theo James and Ruth Kearney Expecting Their 2nd Baby: The Excitement Is off the Charts!

Theo James and his wife Ruth Kearney are expecting their second baby, according to an exclusive confirmation. A source reveals that they are both filled with excitement to become parents once again. Kearney, 38, is expecting a baby girl who is due to arrive late this summer.

Irish actress Ruth Kearney caused speculation about her pregnancy in April after sharing a series of photos on social media during a vacation to Palm Springs, California with James, who is 38 years old. One of the pictures featured Kearney wearing a yellow slip dress that seemed to highlight her increasing baby bump. A fan expressed their excitement, writing, "Ohhhh the cute bump!!!! Congratulations Ruth!! So happy for you xxx," in the comments.

The White Lotus star crossed paths with Kearney during their time at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in England. After two years of marital bliss since tying the knot in 2018, James affectionately displayed the whimsical manner in which he and Kearney fell head over heels for each other.

Ruth Kearney and Theo James confirmed that their eyes did meet while they were at theater school, dressed in leotards pretending to be mice. James shared this amusing anecdote, mentioning that they even played the roles of frogs and indulged in other animal-related activities.

James described his wife as "incredibly optimistic, considerate, and humorous." The actor from Divergent acknowledged that their relationship "clicked quite early on."

Furthermore, James elaborated on the fact that "it's fascinating to have been together for such a long time, as we have supported each other through the early stages of our careers."

James, who appeared on multiple episodes of Sanditon in 2019 alongside his partner, admitted to the outlet that their career advancement "can pose challenges, but also brings certain advantages to a relationship." In August 2021, it was revealed that James and Kearney had become parents to a baby girl. However, the couple did not publicly address their new parenthood until the subsequent year.

"It truly transforms you in a remarkable manner," James shared with InStyle in May 2022, reflecting on the experience of becoming a father. "Initially, it's disorienting. Particularly with your first child, as your entire life undergoes a profound change. Yet, in my case, it unquestionably cultivates a stronger sense of self."

He disclosed that even though "you still engage in the same activities as before," your priorities undergo a significant shift once parenthood begins. "For instance, the tendency to obsess or worry about trivial matters subsides, as it allows you to recognize what truly holds importance," James explained.
