Highlights
Gojo Satoru's battle with Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen comes to an end with Sukuna emerging as the winner by chopping Gojo's body in half.
Despite being declared deceased, Gojo has the potential to return. This is due to his previous rebirth and his possession of the ability to utilize Reverse Cursed Technique.
For Gojo's rebirth to occur, his head must remain undamaged and his ability to output Reverse Cursed Energy should be at its highest level. As long as these conditions are satisfied, Gojo has the capability to regenerate himself and potentially achieve greater power.
Gojo Satoru has become the center of attention among Jujutsu Kaisen fans following his epic showdown with Sukuna, the King of Curses. This intense battle, lasting several months, witnessed these formidable sorcerers risking their lives to outdo one another. Throughout the majority of the conflict, Gojo displayed remarkable skill and delivered a superior performance. However, despite his efforts, Sukuna emerged victorious by severing Gojo's body in half.
Currently, Gojo is believed to be deceased. Nevertheless, as history has shown, there remains a possibility for his return. Fans should recall that Gojo has already undergone a rebirth in the past, indicating his potential for a second resurrection.
Gojo's First Rebirth
Gojo experienced his first rebirth during his battle against Toji Fushiguro. This particular fight pushed Gojo to his limits and overwhelmed him completely. Toji, who had gained immense power from the Heavenly Restriction, surpassed Gojo in every aspect of physical combat. Despite Gojo's powerful Limitless ability, he couldn't withstand Toji's incredible Special Grade Weapon and couldn't keep up with him.
Nevertheless, Gojo put up a strong fight, but ultimately he was defeated and left on the brink of death. However, Gojo believed that Toji's mistake was not killing him outright. During this time, Gojo was attempting to understand and master the Reverse Cursed Technique. Although he hadn't grasped the Red and this technique completely, being on the verge of death provided him with the answers he was seeking. Gojo successfully used the Reverse Cursed Technique to heal himself and, moments later, stood before Toji once again.
This time, Gojo completely outmatched Toji and used his newly developed Hollow Purple technique to overpower the formidable fighter. This marked Gojo's first rebirth, and it was in this moment that he declared himself the honored one throughout heaven and earth.
The Prerequisites For A Gojo Rebirth
After being defeated by Toji, Gojo realized his potential invincibility. With the power of the Reverse Cursed Technique, he could heal from any injury as long as his head remained intact. In addition, he discovered a method to constantly surround his body with Infinity. By using the Reverse Cursed Technique, he could replenish his depleted Cursed Energy, and his Six Eyes allowed him to efficiently use minimal energy, giving the illusion of infinite reserves.
Considering these factors, no matter how serious the injury, Gojo cannot be killed as long as his head remains. To fully heal, he only requires maximum output of his Reverse Cursed Energy, a simple condition that can be easily met, especially with the ability to replenish his drained cursed energy using the Reverse Cursed Technique.
How Gojo Vs Sukuna Ended
The conclusion of the Gojo versus Sukuna battle brought about a sense of release. Gojo's dominance became evident as he seized full control in the final stages. Employing Maximum Output Blue, he forcefully squeezed the life out of Agito. Employing a formidable Red attack and merging it with the remaining Blue energy, Gojo unleashed a remote form of Hollow Purple, devastating Shinjuku and leaving lasting scars across the entire city. Prior to this climactic moment, Gojo relentlessly struck all three adversaries with a series of powerful Black Flashes.
It was undeniably apparent that Gojo was fully immersed in his element, and when Hollow Purple detonated, he remained the sole figure standing. Sukuna teetered on the brink of death, while his shikigami lay in ruins.
The author clearly indicated that Gojo's voltage was increasing, indicating that he was becoming stronger. In addition, it was mentioned that Gojo's Reverse Cursed Technique had returned after landing successive Black Flashes.
Gojo had fully replenished his Reverse Cursed Technique meter, allowing him to easily recover from any injury. Shortly after, Sukuna found a way to counter Gojo and severely injured him. Although Gojo was in a near-death state, he remained in a state between life and death. Fortunately, Gojo's head was intact, which is one of the prerequisites for his complete rebirth. The second prerequisite is enough Reverse Cursed Technique, which had been fully restored thanks to the Black Flashes. Taking all these factors into account, there is a high possibility of Gojo surviving, if the author remains consistent with previously mentioned details.
Gojo's Second Rebirth - Is Gojo Still Alive?
Gojo has previously undergone rebirth from a similar condition, indicating that he is capable of doing so again. His brain and Reverse Cursed Technique remain intact, suggesting that he should be able to heal himself. Even if the healing process may be slower, Gojo should still be able to recover. Gege has established this possibility in the story, making it perplexing for him not to rely on it when he needs it the most. Furthermore, the fact that Gojo is considering the north route and seeking a new version of himself further supports the idea that he is prepared for another rebirth.
In the upcoming battle, he would be reborn directly on the battlefield, rendering Gojo truly unstoppable. His previous rebirth unleashed a newfound level of strength, and this time, a similar transformation could occur. It is vital for fans to recall that Gojo's birth caused a profound shift in the world itself. By all measures, he is not a typical human, and standard human logic does not apply to him.
If there is anyone capable of defying death twice and resurfacing, it is Gojo Satoru. Although fans may need to exercise patience, there is a distinct possibility that Gojo will make his return sooner rather than later in the story. He holds significant importance as he still has numerous loose ends to address, and, above all, he will always be the iconic face of Jujutsu Kaisen.
