The Untold Power of Suicune and Raikou in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Unleashing the Hidden Strength of Entei

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans may have mixed feelings about Paradox Suicune and Raikou, but there's still hope for Entei! Discover why this remaining dinosaur-type Pokemon could surprise and delight trainers in the latest installment

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's introduction of Paradox Pokemon has been generally well-received, although some designs are more popular than others. Great Tusk, Iron Treads, Roaring Moon, and Iron Thorns are among the enjoyable Pokemon designs. However, if fans had to choose the least impressive design, it would likely be Paradox Suicune's Walking Wake. While the idea of a raptor-like adaptation may have seemed promising, it ultimately diminishes Suicune's appeal.

Despite this, there are still fans who have mixed opinions on Walking Wake, just as they do with Raging Bolt, the Paradox form of Raikou in the upcoming DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Raging Bolt is clearly inspired by a Brachiosaurus or a long neck. Along with the past Paradox forms of the legendary beasts, the future content will likely explore the remaining Pokemon, Entei and Terrakion (excluding Keldeo). It is hopeful that Entei's dinosaur-themed Paradox form will make up for the disappointments of Walking Wake and Raging Bolt.

Hopefully, Pokemon Scarlet's Entei Isn't Such a Monstrosity

The designs of Past Paradox forms are more inventive compared to the robotic nature of all future Paradox Pokemon. Suicune and Raikou have taken on a dinosaur-inspired appearance, so it's highly likely that Entei will follow suit. Many fans of Pokemon have suggested that a triceratops design would be a perfect fit for Entei. A Twitter user named FloofHips even created fan art depicting Entei as a Triceratops, which would be ideal for the new Pokemon whenever it gets introduced. There is speculation that this could potentially occur in the second DLC, known as the Indigo Disk, for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, it should be noted that the concept of Entei being based on a triceratops is also speculative, even though it has some support.

Twitter user ActeusDeer pointed out that each Paradox form represents different clades. This means that Entei could potentially take on the characteristics of an ornithischian, specifically a triceratops or stegosaurus. It's possible that Entei could combine elements from both dinosaurs, such as having a similar face plate and horns to a triceratops, as well as spikes on its back like a stegosaurus. While fans may have to wait to confirm this, Entei could bring excitement to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, unlike Suicune and Raikou.

However, it is unlikely that fans will see the Triceratops-based Entei until the end of the year. The first DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Teal Mask, is set to be released on September 13. The Indigo Disk, on the other hand, is scheduled for Winter 2023. Considering the timing of the Teal Mask's release in the fall, it is reasonable to expect that the Indigo Disk will follow suit in December to coincide with the winter season and take advantage of holiday shopping.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
