At Bachelor alum Becca Tilley's age of 34, she is thoroughly enjoying her life, which includes observing the strong bond between her current girlfriend Hayley Kiyoko, aged 32, and her previous boyfriend Ben Higgins, aged 34. This delightful connection between Kiyoko and Higgins was witnessed by Tilley for the first time at the wedding of Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Dean Unglert on September 23 in Colorado, where the event took place.
"It was really enjoyable to see my girlfriend, Hayley, and Ben Higgins, whom I had been on the same season of The Bachelor with, spending the entire weekend together at the wedding," Tilley revealed in an interview with The Messenger, published on Monday, October 2. "It was quite extraordinary and something I never anticipated witnessing. It's truly a wonderful sight."
For Higgins, on his end, he was delighted to bring happiness to Tilley by spending time with her new love interest despite their past relationship.
"Hayley brings so much joy. She is absolutely amazing," he shared with the media. "I've admired Becca for a long time. She is truly one of the most uplifting and enjoyable individuals."
Higgins also expressed his deep appreciation for Tilley's kindness towards his wife, Jessica Clarke, whom he married in November 2021.
When Becca found someone who brings her immense joy, it was incredibly thrilling for me to have the opportunity to meet and spend time with that person, like we did last week. It was truly fantastic and I enjoyed it a lot.
Higgins and Tilley were both contestants on the 20th season of The Bachelor. He eliminated her in week 7 and went on to propose to Lauren Bushnell, who he chose as the winner of the season in March 2016. However, their engagement ended in May 2017, just one year later.
Tilley, on the other hand, continued her journey with Kiyoko. The two started dating in 2018 after meeting at the launch party for Kiyoko's album, Expectations. Initially, they preferred to keep their relationship under wraps but decided to go public in May 2022 when Tilley made an appearance in Kiyoko's music video, "For the Girls," which draws inspiration from The Bachelor.
In a podcast episode of "Scrubbing In" in May 2022, Tilley shared her thoughts on her relationship with Kiyoko and opening up about her bisexuality, saying, "I was prepared for anything and everything. However, the overwhelming amount of love and support we received caught me completely off guard. It's something I could never have predicted."
Although the couple's relationship has been strong, Tilley remains unsure about embracing the next milestone. "We often discuss how certain things would be fun or cool," Tilley explained, "but all my closest friends are now engaged. I need to prioritize their happiness for now."
She added with a laugh, “I want my own moment.”
