Sophie Turner had a strong connection with Joe Jonas' family, particularly his sisters-in-law Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Danielle Jonas, even before their breakup. In a March 2020 interview with Elle, Turner expressed her gratitude for having these "built-in girlfriends" who are not only cool but whom she can have genuine conversations with about the chaotic lives of their significant others. They share a deep understanding and can relate to each other on various levels, which Turner appreciates given the uncertainty that can sometimes come with in-laws.
At the time, she expressed, "It feels as though we are a close-knit family since the boys are such good friends." Turner, Chopra Jonas, and Danielle even affectionately referred to themselves as the "J Sisters," cleverly deriving inspiration from their husbands' band name, the Jonas Brothers, and were often seen enjoying the concerts from the VIP section.
Joe initiated divorce proceedings against Turner, his partner and mother of their two daughters, in September 2023. Shortly after, Turner and Chopra Jonas opted to unfollow each other on Instagram. December 2018
When Nick tied the knot with the Citadel actress, they celebrated their love in various wedding ceremonies held in India. Turner and Danielle, both members of her bridal party, witnessed the joyous occasion.
"It all started as an intense song and dance competition between the families, but ultimately evolved into a grand celebration of love," Chopra Jonas excitedly shared on Instagram a few days later, reflecting on their relatives coming together. "Nick and I were eager to experience the Sangeet (music evening), another pre-wedding tradition, and to witness what each side had prepared."
She continued, "And what a magnificent performance it was. Each family narrated our stories through mesmerizing song and dance, brimming with laughter and love. We were both overflowing with gratitude for the dedication, love, and joy that will forever hold the memories of this extraordinary evening in our hearts."

Chopra Jonas shared on The View, "I never had a sister before... [They] are all incredibly accomplished individuals and we wholeheartedly support each other in everything we do. It's a completely new and wonderful feeling to have two amazing girls like them as sisters."
In a separate interview with India's Indulge Express newspaper, she mentioned that Turner enjoys referring to herself as "jethani."
"She exclaimed, 'You must listen to me, for I am the jethani.' Chopra Jonas humorously remarked to the publication, alluding to the Indian expression for the eldest sister-in-law, despite the significant age difference between them. (Chopra Jonas is 14 years senior to the Game of Thrones alum.) In the prior March, the trio collaborated in the band's music video for "Sucker.""
March 2020
Turner gushed to Elle that Chopra Jonas is “just the nicest person,” noting the entire family was “treated like royalty” during her wedding to Nick.
"They reside just a short 10-minute distance from here," she shared with the magazine, referring to Chopra Jonas and Nick, who are parents to their daughter, Malti Marie. "Despite Kevin and Danielle living in New Jersey, we frequently spend time with them."
Having tied the knot in 2009, Kevin and Danielle are parents to their daughters, Alena and Valentina.
In January, Turner, Chopra Jonas, and Danielle were reunited on screen for the Jonas Brothers' music video "What a Man Gotta Do."

November 2021
During the airing of the Jonas Brothers Family Roast on Netflix in 2021, Turner, Chopra Jonas, and Danielle embraced their comedic prowess. With a lineup of entertaining performances to witness, each of them took the stage to deliver uproarious jokes about their own beloved partners.
“I had no idea about Nick's level of fame. I was only aware that he was the younger brother of Kevin Jonas,” remarked Chopra Jonas. “I'll explain why, because when you combine all of their [Instagram] followers, it still doesn't exceed mine. Therefore, it seems that the most popular Jonas on Instagram is @PriyankaChopra.”

Turner's sisters-in-law joined her at the Jonas Brothers' Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. Turner, who hails from India, was accompanied by her daughter Malti, while Danielle brought along her two daughters. Although Turner and Joe chose not to share pictures of their daughters Willa and Delphine, the girls were not present at the event.
January 2023
During Kevin, Joe, and Nick's Broadway residency at the Marquis Theater in New York City, all their wives were seen among the audience. Observant social media users were swift to notice that Danielle, Turner, and Chopra Jonas were happily dancing together throughout the entire performance.
March 2023
During the "LadyGang" podcast, Danielle admitted that she is quite different from her sisters-in-law, Turner and Chopra Jonas. She confessed to occasionally feeling inadequate in comparison to them, stating, "It's actually strengthened our relationship even more because we're not competing for the spotlight or the celebrity status. However, I do have mixed emotions. My brothers married women who are actresses and are well-known in the industry. Whereas, I am just Danielle, and sometimes that can be challenging."
She added: "It’s also because I’m well-known for being married to [Kevin], and I want to have my own accomplishments as well. I want to feel like I am more than just someone's wife, like the other girls. Sometimes, when I’m with them, I just feel inferior. It's a strange feeling."
June 2023
Turner, Chopra Jonas, and Danielle were present at the debut show of the Jonas Brothers' concert tour, "The Tour," at Yankee Stadium in NYC on August 12. Throughout the performance, the wives occupied the VIP section.
Although both Chopra Jonas and Danielle attended the second show in NYC on August 13, Turner was conspicuously missing. It was later reported one month later that Joe had filed for divorce, and the documents disclosed a fight between Turner and Joe on August 15, which ultimately led to the termination of their marriage.
August 2023
It has been verified that both Turner and Chopra Jonas have decided to stop following each other on social media. However, Turner continues to follow Danielle, Joe, Kevin, Nick, their younger brother, Franklin Jonas, as well as their mother, Denise Jonas.
