Nicolas Cage's latest film, Dream Scenario, explores the burdensome experience of being featured in the dreams of countless individuals. At first glance, this intriguing concept takes a dark twist in the initial trailer released by A24's Everything Everywhere All At Once studio.
The teaser introduces Cage's character, Professor Paul Matthews, who unexpectedly finds himself appearing in the dreams of both his students and unfamiliar individuals. However, what initially appears to be a moment of viral excitement quickly turns into a nightmare as these imagined scenarios take a frightening turn.
Dream Scenario, a film written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli and produced by Ari Aster (known for his work in Hereditary and Midsommar), features an all-star cast including Nicolas Cage, Julianne Nicholson, Michael Cera, and Tim Meadows.
A24 has scheduled the premiere of Dream Scenario in selected theaters for November 10, followed by a wider release on November 22, just in time for Thanksgiving.
Earlier this year, Cage unveiled his top five favorite films featuring himself, including the 2021 release "Pig." Surprisingly, the actor conveniently omitted "National Treasure" from his list. During that period, he was actively promoting his portrayal of Dracula in the horror comedy "Renfield." Additionally, apart from his film endeavors, Cage made a notable appearance as himself in the horror game "Dead by Daylight" over the course of this summer, possibly due to a family member's immense enthusiasm for the game.
