In the newly released trailer for Sympathy for the Devil, Nicolas Cage, the infamous carjacker, takes Joel Kinnaman, a family man, on a wild and terrifying ride. After his meta performance in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Cage starred as immortal vampire Dracula in the horror-comedy Renfield, which unfortunately failed to draw much blood at the box office, grossing only $25 million worldwide. However, Cage returns to his comfort zone in Sympathy for the Devil, playing a manic carjacker opposite The Suicide Squad star Kinnaman in this gripping thriller. As Kinnaman drives to the hospital to be with his wife during childbirth, he is suddenly confronted by Cage, brandishing a gun and ordering him to "drive." What follows is a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse, with Cage pulling Kinnaman into his mysterious plans by using the threat of more violence against innocent people as leverage.

Director Yuval Adler, known for his previous films The Secrets We Keep and The Operative starring Kinnaman and Diane Kruger respectively, brings us Sympathy for the Devil. Starring Nicolas Cage and Joel Kinnaman, the film also features Kaiwi Lyman-Mersereau, known for his role in Den of Thieves. Interestingly, the movie was mainly shot inside Kinnaman's car and at a virtual studio in Las Vegas.
