Attention! Spoilers ahead for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode #9. In a surprising turn of events, the anime has presented its protagonists with their greatest challenge yet, as they must confront this threat without their strongest ally, Gojo. Although it is a logical choice for the storyline, considering Gojo's overwhelming power and popularity, it is nonetheless unexpected.
In the latest episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, the curses successfully executed their ultimate scheme to prevent Gojo from interfering. By exhausting the sorcerer through a series of rapid eliminations of transformed humans, Geto arrived on the scene wielding a mysterious artifact called the Prison Realm. This device captured Gojo once he was mentally incapacitated for a minute, facilitated by Geto's sudden appearance. Despite Gojo's immense strength, once ensnared within the Prison Realm, he seemed unable to break free, allowing the villain to taunt him. Consequently, the remaining heroes will now have to persevere without him.
Gojo's Sealing is Scary For Jujutsu Kaisen's Heroes
Facing the formidable enemies in Shibuya makes this task overwhelmingly challenging. Although Gojo effortlessly defeated Hanami in the previous episode, the remaining Disaster Curses continue to cause widespread destruction with their devastating abilities. Jogo possesses immense firepower, Mahito can transform humans with a single touch, and the newly introduced Choso has the power to manipulate blood. Additionally, the sorcerer controlling Geto's body can summon powerful curses to aid him in battle. These villains, known for their disturbing nature in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, have no moral boundaries, increasing the uncertainty of their actions.
Given these grave threats, the heroic sorcerers will face immense difficulties in resolving the Shibuya Incident satisfactorily. Though there are other skilled sorcerers in the series, they are divided among different teams and lack the invincibility of Gojo. Gojo's Limitless technique equips him with both offensive and defensive capabilities unmatched by any other sorcerer, leaving his comrades vulnerable to exploitation by the Curses. Consequently, it is likely that a significant number of them will either perish or sustain severe injuries.
Jujutsu Kaisen's Status Quo Has Now Completely Changed
Gojo's sealing marks a significant shift in the status quo of the series. Up until now, sorcerers had the reassurance of relying on Gojo to handle any adversaries they considered too perilous, providing them with a sense of security when confronting dangerous Curses. However, with Gojo's absence, the protagonists of Jujutsu Kaisen are now compelled to face the series' immensely formidable foes unaided.
