The shadowy assassin has long been the go-to class for PvP combat in many games, and in Diablo 4, that mantle is taken up by the Rogue. While the Rogue can be played in a variety of ways, few would argue that its skillset is particularly suited to PvP combat - and in this respect, the Rogue truly shines. With the right build, a Rogue can dominate the Field of Hatred, preventing their opponents from using any moves on their toolbar before the battle is over. While other classes may be able to stun, slow, or freeze, a skilled Rogue can outmaneuver and outmatch them all.

When players reach the highest level and collect all the Renown, they will have a total of 58 skill points to allocate. While some may think that stealth is the key to success for a Rogue, the truth is that the best Rogue doesn't need to hide their movements because their target won't have the opportunity to use any skills.
With this build, opponents will find themselves in a perpetual state of daze if the right rotation is executed. Running away may seem like the only option, but the movement speed bonuses associated with the build make it nearly impossible to do so.
Paragon Boards
Board | Paragon/Legendary Nodes | Glyph |
Start | Prime, Skillful | Control |
No Witnesses | Ruin, No Witnesses, Knowledge | Chip |
Cunning Strategem | Cunning Strategem, Fundamentals, Dominant, Finisher, Lawless | Efficacy |
Eldritch Bounty | Imbuer, Eldritch Bounty, Potent | Frostfeeder |
Cheap Shot | Oppress, Cheap Shot, Devious, Calculated | Closer |
Mastering the paragon boards and glyphs may seem daunting, but it's simply a matter of adjusting the boards to ensure proper snaking. While reaching the maximum 200 paragon points may be a challenge, those who do will experience a significant boost in their abilities.
Listing every single node can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate, but focusing on the major nodes listed and purchasing all relevant stat bonus nodes within designated glyph areas will streamline the process.
With the help of the paragon boards, the Cold Imbuement ability can be used for crowd control by slowing down opponents. This complements the Rogue's skills that increase speed. While PvP may require a focus on defense, the Rogue can prioritize offense as long as they strategically target opponents and avoid group fights.

Gamers now have more freedom to customize their gear with the new aspect system. They can choose the piece of gear with the best stats and add their preferred effect to it, making these aspects game-changing. Certain aspects can be swapped between gear pieces, making it more flexible for players.
PvP Rogues have a wide range of gear options to choose from, including the Ghostwalker Aspect, which provides a stealth feature for when they need to make a quick escape. Additionally, the Aspect of Unstable Imbuements, when combined with the Rogue's skills and glyphs, allows them to freeze a target with just one cast and two hits, making it a powerful tool in their arsenal.
Specialization
As the difficulty of World Tiers increases, it can become overwhelming, but luckily, specializations offer a straightforward solution to keep up with the challenge. A cunning PvP rogue has a clear choice when it comes to specializations.
While afflicted with the daze effect, players are limited to only moving around, leaving them vulnerable to the Rogue's uninterrupted combo attacks, thanks to the Twisting Blades skill. Unless the victim has brought a sizable group of allies to the Fields of Hatred, their chances of escaping unscathed are slim. Diablo 4 is currently accessible on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
