The Power Rangers suits play a significant role in defining the Power Rangers franchise. While most of the costumes featured on the TV shows originate from the Super Sentai series, there have been a few original suits since the days of Mighty Morphin. Since her debut in the comic book series in 2018, just before the Shattered Grid storyline, Ranger Slayer has not only had her own comics but has also received multiple action figures and even became a playable character in the game Battle for the Grid. It is no coincidence that Ranger Slayer's costume bears similarities to the Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger, as she is actually an alternate version of Kimberly from a future where Lord Drakkon killed the majority of the Power Rangers. This serves as yet another example of how Power Rangers can rock the cape look.
The lore surrounding the Dark Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Charge is particularly fascinating, mainly due to the fact that this Ranger never made an actual appearance in the show. Power Rangers Dino Charge took inspiration from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, a Super Sentai series that later received a movie adaptation. In the movie, a new evil Ranger named Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, or Deathryuger, was introduced. However, none of the Kyoryuger movie scenes were adapted for Dino Charge. Consequently, the Deathryuger design never made it into Dino Charge or Super Dino Charge, despite being an ideal fit for a Sixth Ranger or Evil Ranger.

The Power Rangers comics mention a multiverse, and this version of Heckyl went through all the events of Dino Charge and Super Dino Charge. Therefore, it can be assumed that the Dark Ranger is considered canon to Dino Charge, even though this form never appeared in the TV show.
Not only did the original Power Rangers receive a makeover in the 2017 Power Rangers movie, but there was also a redesign of the Green Ranger. Right at the start of the movie, we catch a glimpse of this universe's Green Ranger, showcasing a unique and stylish version of one of the most iconic Rangers. While the Green Ranger costume in Power Rangers (2017) fits seamlessly with the rest of the team, it also has enough distinct elements to establish itself as the "sixth Ranger." However, one noticeable difference is the absence of the Dragon Shield, which used to make Green Ranger Tommy Oliver distinct from his fellow Rangers. Similar to the Ranger Slayer, Lord Drakkon originated from BOOM! Power Rangers comics and has quickly become an integral part of the Power Rangers mythology. In the comic series, an alternate version of Tommy Oliver remains corrupted after being brainwashed by Rita Repulsa, never finding redemption. This malevolent incarnation eventually overthrows Rita and emerges as a ruthless conqueror, hunting down Power Rangers from various dimensions to seize their Power Ranger coins and morphers. Consequently, Lord Drakkon's appearance continuously evolved as he absorbed new powers. Nonetheless, his ensemble predominantly embodied a fusion of the Green Ranger and White Ranger suits from the iconic Mighty Morphin era.
2 Omega Rangers Costumes
The reasons for Jason, Zack, and Trini's departure from the Power Rangers in Mighty Morphin season 2 were portrayed differently in the Power Rangers comics. In this particular continuity, the original Red, Black, and Yellow Power Rangers transformed into the Omega Rangers, who embarked on secret space missions of utmost importance unrelated to Zordon. 1 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie Costumes
The Power Rangers costumes used in the 1995 Power Rangers movie are still considered some of the franchise's best, even after more than 28 years. Unlike the 2017 Power Rangers reboot, where the costumes had to be created from scratch, the movie aimed to be consistent with the TV show's universe. However, the materials used for the movie costumes differed from those used in the TV show. Consequently, the 1995 movie costumes had an armor-like feel instead of the traditional spandex.
