How to Start the Token of Friendship Side Quest
: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sets itself apart from Breath of the Wild by offering a vast array of distinctive armor pieces and complete sets. Among them is the revamped Zora Armor, a returning favorite from the previous installment. To acquire this complete set, players will have to undertake the 'Token of Friendship' side quest, which is exclusively available in Tears of the Kingdom and given by the unique character Yona.To initiate the 'Token of Friendship' side quest, players should first complete the 'Sidon of the Zora' segment of Regional Phenomena. Next, make your way to the central hub of Zora's Domain, where you will find Dorephan and Sidon. In that vicinity, Yona will be present, marked by a red exclamation point beside her thoughts, indicating that she has a quest for Link.
Where to Find the Zora Greaves
Yona will inform Link about the Zora Greaves, a key component of the Zora Armor set that grants Link the ability to ascend waterfalls and enhances his swimming speed. With the water now drained in the Ancient Zora Waterworks, Yona believes it's the perfect location for Link to search for the Zora Greaves, making it his next destination.
Follow the steps below to find the Zora Greaves and complete the side quest.
Finding the Ancient Zora Waterworks
Players can access the Ancient Zora Waterworks through a whirlpool in the East Reservoir Lake, which will have opened up as part of the main Zora quest.
In the Ancient Zora Waterworks
Inside the Ancient Zora Waterworks lies a Zora named Gruve, who affirms the complete drainage of all water in the vicinity. Progress towards the rear of the Waterworks until you encounter the expansive hole depicted above. Plunge into this abyss to unveil an uncharted domain within the depths of the Ancient Zora Waterworks.
In the rear of the room, players will come across a picturesque waterfall. Concealed behind the cascading water is a valuable treasure chest harboring the Zora Greaves, as relayed to Link by Yona. Optionally, right outside the entrance to the waterfall, a Luminous Stone Talus may be found, which guards the hidden riches. Players can make the choice to engage in combat with this colossal creature or opt for a hasty retreat, as it lacks the ability to harm Link within the protective confines of the waterfall.
Returning to Yona will initiate a special conversation regarding the Greaves, leading to her disclosure of an additional side quest for obtaining the Zora Helm. The Nintendo Switch version of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can now be accessed.
