Lacey, the initial adversary, is anticipated to concentrate on Fairy types, potentially incorporating Normal and Water types as well.

In the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Indigo Disk DLC, players will have the opportunity to explore the Blueberry Academy in Unova. The BB League, within the Indigo Disk, has set up a trial that aims to solidify its approach to battle studying. From the trailer footage released so far, it is evident that each of the four members of the BB League have distinct personalities and designs that align with the types of Pokemon they use on their teams. By taking a closer look at their appearances, it is possible to make predictions about their team formations, which can help players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet prepare for the challenge.
The BB League in the Indigo Disk consists of four students from the Blueberry Academy: Lacey, Crispin, Amarys, and Drayton. Each member's personality is clearly reflected in their appearance. For instance, Crispin's red hair suggests a fiery disposition, while Amarys' rigid posture indicates a steadfast approach. These characteristics are likely to heavily influence their choice of Pokemon types in battle. It can be anticipated that each member's team formations will include a few Pokemon from Unova and Paldean, alongside additional returning Pokemon from past titles included in the DLC roster.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Indigo Disk BB League Could Focus on Fairy, Fire, Steel, and Dragon Types
Lacey is anticipated to be the initial adversary in the player's BB League challenge. Her character design strongly suggests a preference for Fairy Types, potentially extending to Normal Types as well. Alcremie appears to be a suitable partner Pokemon for her, complemented by Gen 5 representatives such as Whimsicott or Cinccino to complete her team. Notably, the decorations on her cardigan resemble pink fins, indicating a possible inclination towards Water Types that aligns with the Academy's location. Pokemon like Alomomola or Finneon could be fitting choices.
Crispin appears to specialize in Fire Pokemon, although it remains intriguing to observe if each team member diversifies in terms of typing. Fire Types like Camerupt or Talonflame could be strong contenders for his team, while others could represent Paldea. Since the Blueberry Academy students are likely to engage in trades with visitors from Paldea, a Pokemon like Scovillain would be an excellent representative, embracing the cooking theme and potentially serving as a partner Pokemon for Crispin. His fiery temperament might also encompass Fighting Types, allowing the possibility of featuring a Paldean Tauros from its Blaze breed.
Amarys will likely focus on Steel Pokemon, possibly including Psychic Types. Metagross, a pseudo-Legendary with dual Steel/Psychic typing, would be a strong choice for her partner Pokemon due to its compatibility with her character design. Skarmory and Magnezone could also add type diversity with their Steel/Flying and Steel/Electric typings respectively. Bastiodon and Excadrill could provide coverage for Rock and Ground types, with Excadrill also representing the Unova region. The inclusion of the pure Psychic Type Gothitelle is uncertain but could be compelling.
Drayton's team will undoubtedly have a Dragon focus, with speculation that he may be connected to Drayden, the Gym Leader of Opelucid City. Archaludon, a Dragon/Electric evolution of Galar's Duraludon, has already been confirmed as part of his team. If Drayton is indeed related to Drayden, it is likely that Flygon and Haxorus will also be included. It would be interesting to see him have a Paldean representative like Baxcalibur to showcase the connection between the two regions, but there are many other Dragon options available, including Altaria, Hydreigon, and Salamence, all of which were part of Drayton's team in the Unova Leaders Tournament.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for the Nintendo Switch.
