After receiving medical attention at Balmoral castle in Scotland, the queen passed away in September 2022 at the age of 96, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace. A statement released by the palace conveyed that she died peacefully at Balmoral. The king and queen consort opted to stay at Balmoral that evening and return to London the following day. Shortly after his mother's passing, Charles issued a statement expressing his profound sadness and mourning for the loss of the cherished Sovereign and much-loved Mother. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

Elizabeth II was born on April 21, 1926, to Prince Albert, Duke of York (later King George VI), and his wife, Elizabeth. Initially third in line to the throne, behind her uncle and father, she ascended to the throne at the age of 25 in 1952. Elizabeth II married Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark in 1947 and together they had four children: Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward. Sadly, Buckingham Palace confirmed the passing of Prince Philip at the age of 99 in April 2021, one month after being discharged from a 28-day hospital stay. In September 2022, Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96 while at the Balmoral estate in Scotland. Officials confirmed that she was buried in Windsor next to her late husband later that same month.

Prince Charles, the Late Princess Diana and Queen Consort Camilla

Charles, Prince of Wales, was born on November 14, 1948, and is the longest-serving heir apparent in British history. He married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981 and together they had two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. The couple's marriage ended in divorce in 1996, and the following year, Diana passed away. In 2005, Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles, who became the queen consort alongside Charles in September 2022.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Prince Harry, also known as Henry of Wales, was born on September 15, 1984, as the younger son of King Charles III and Princess Diana. He is the fourth grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Prior to his departure from royal duties, Harry served as a captain in the British Army's Blues and Royals and completed two tours in Afghanistan. In May 2018, he married former actress Meghan Markle, and the couple welcomed their son Archie in May 2019. Anne, the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, was born on August 15, 1950, and held the third position in line to the throne. Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly

Peter Phillips, who was born on November 15, 1977, was deliberately not bestowed with a royal title by his mother, Princess Anne. Her decision was based on her belief that he could lead a more normal life without one. After graduating from the University of Exeter, Phillips tied the knot with Autumn Kelly, a Canadian management consultant, in 2008. The couple gave the Queen her first great-grandchild, a baby girl named Savannah Anne, in 2010, and later welcomed a second daughter, Isla Elizabeth, in 2012. However, after being married for 12 years, they announced their separation in February 2020.

Born on May 15, 1981, Zara Phillips is a highly regarded equestrian from Britain. She is the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, and despite being the second-eldest, she was not granted a royal title, just like her brother. Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Duke and Duchess of York

Prince Andrew's personal life has been tumultuous, beginning with his parents' separation when he was only eight years old. He later married Sarah Ferguson, with whom he shares two daughters, but the couple separated just two years after the birth of their second child and divorced four years later. Despite their separation, the Duke and Duchess of York continued to live together, even as Prince Andrew faced public scrutiny and backlash over sexual assault allegations that ultimately led to his removal from royal duties and loss of titles in 2021. Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Princess Beatrice, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, was born on August 8, 1988, and is the fifth grandchild of the queen. She graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London and tied the knot with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. On her wedding day, Beatrice wore a stunning vintage dress by Norman Hartnell from the queen's collection and donned the Her Majesty's diamond fringe tiara, which was also worn by the queen on her own wedding day in 1947. In May 2021, Princess Beatrice shared the news of her pregnancy with the world. Four months later, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank

Princess Eugenie, born on March 23, 1990, is the younger daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York and the sixth grandchild of Her Majesty. She is also Princess Beatrice's younger sister and is next in line for the throne after her. Eugenie tied the knot with her long-time beau, Jack Brooksbank, at the Windsor Castle's St. George's Chapel on October 12, 2018. The pair was blessed with their first child, a son named August Philip Hawke, on February 9, 2021. Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn

Lady Louise, the youngest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, was born on November 8, 2003. She had the honor of being a bridesmaid at the wedding of her cousin, Prince William, to Kate Middleton in April 2011.
