The Ultimate Guide to Maximizing Godrick's Great Rune in Elden Ring

Updated August 1st, 2023: Defeating Godrick the Grafted in Elden Ring is a rewarding experience for new players. Aside from obtaining his Axe, they will also receive the coveted Great Rune. However, before players can utilize Godrick's Great Rune, they must activate it. This requires locating the tower connected to the rune and equipping it. The process may prove challenging for those unfamiliar with the tower's whereabouts, as navigating through Stormveil Castle is hindered by numerous enemies. In order to assist players in finding the tower, an updated guide with a helpful video has been provided.

How to Get to Divine Tower of Limgrave

To reach the Divine Tower and activate the rune, players must locate the Limgrave Tower Bridge Site of Grace, situated on the eastern side of the Stormveil Castle area. In case players have not yet unlocked this particular site of grace, they should follow the steps outlined below, commencing from the Liftside Chamber Site of Grace.

Proceed east through the exit located in the Liftside Chamber.

Once outside, head south through the area with spiked wooden fences, but be sure to hug the left wall to avoid enemies.

Head down the path and go through the gate.

Continue running past the adversaries until reaching a somewhat spacious area. Take a left turn (towards the east) to enter a spacious edifice featuring knight statues equipped with shields and weapons. This will guide players to the Limgrave Tower Bridge, an illustrious location of elegance.

Players must cross the bridge to reach the teleporter, but beware of the formidable enemies that guard it. They can choose to evade the enemies or engage in combat with them. Once they reach the end of the bridge, they can utilize the teleporter to be transported to the Divine Tower.

Go to the summit of the tower and interact with the object located near the tree in the center of the arena (no need to be concerned, there will be no opponents to contend with within this tower).

Once you reach the pinnacle of the Divine Tower and engage with the object, it will replenish the energy of Godrick's Great Rune. Players can then equip it by utilizing the newly added menu option at any Site of Grace. However, in order for the Rune's abilities to take effect, players must first consume a Rune Arc.

How to Get Rune Arc

To obtain Rune Arcs in Elden Ring, players have several options. They can acquire them by defeating enemies or purchasing them from merchants. However, a guaranteed method is to purchase them for 4000 Runes from the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold. It is important to note that players must use the Arc each time they respawn, as failing to do so will render the effects of the Great Rune ineffective.
