In the open-world adventure game Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players once again embark on a journey through Hyrule. This time, facing a new enemy, Link must unravel the enigma of the dark magic that now grips the kingdom, all under the command of the Demon King. Throughout his exploration, Link encounters citizens from various parts of the land who frequently seek his assistance, leading to engaging side quests and thrilling adventures.
Among these quests is the Fell Into a Well, a relatively brief yet elusive side quest. Located in a newly discovered area within Tears of the Kingdom, players may require guidance to navigate through this unfamiliar territory. To aid you in your quest, here is a comprehensive guide on how to locate Fell Into a Well and reap its rewards.
Fell Into a Well Quest Walkthrough
Fell Into a Well takes place in the Central Hyrule area near the Rebonae Bridge, allowing players to access it early on. Approaching the bridge, a distant smoke signal can be spotted emanating from inside the Rebonae Well (0738, 0011, 0031), where the side quest is discovered. The well's depth is not a concern, as Link can safely jump inside without the fear of sustaining fall damage. Upon reaching the bottom of the well, players will encounter a man named Dillie standing near a comforting fire.
Dillie informs Link that he has been stuck inside the well for a considerable amount of time due to a broken ladder that prevented his escape. In order to progress through the quest "Fell Into a Well," Link is required to find a solution to repair the ladder. Fortunately, the lower portion of the ladder is conveniently located on the ground near Dillie and can be retrieved using the Ultrahand Ability. To access all of Link's abilities, he simply needs to hold down the L button.
Make sure to lift the ladder from one of its ends to ensure proper reattachment. Use Ultrahand to guide the ladder back onto the other piece and connect the two halves securely. Once the ladder is repaired, Dillie can exit the well. A brief cut scene follows, showing Dillie and Link at the entrance of the well, after which Dillie rewards players with 50 Rupees as a token of gratitude.
The Rebonae Well offers little besides the side quest, Sticky Lizards, and Glowing Cave Fish. On the other side of the Rebonae bridge, there is a cave filled with valuable items, but players need to be cautious as it is inhabited by multiple cave monsters. In Hyrule, there are other wells that also have extensive caves with treasures and resources, so it is recommended for players to explore them whenever they encounter one.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can now be enjoyed on the Nintendo Switch.
