Hong Kong offers an array of breathtaking destinations for travelers. However, Starfield players may be disheartened to know that most of these places no longer exist within the game's virtual world. Nevertheless, one legendary Hong Kong structure has managed to defy the test of time, surviving even the fall of Earth many years ago.
By uncovering a special item, players have the opportunity to explore the International Commerce Center, an awe-inspiring supertall skyscraper that dominates the Hong Kong skyline in the present day. Regrettably, the beloved Kowloon district is no longer part of the game, which may disappoint fans of games like Stray and Shenmue 2.
How to Visit the International Commerce Center (Hong Kong Landmark)
In order to locate the Hong Kong Landmark in Starfield, players will be required to obtain a duplicate of Maurice Lyon's Journal. For the uninformed, Maurice Lyon is the curator of the museum in New Homestead, situated on Titan; one of Saturn's moons in the SOL star system where players stumble upon Earth.
There are several books showcased in the museum, and Maurice can also be spotted engrossed in one. However, the specific book that players require is actually positioned on a metal shelf to the left of the stairs leading downwards into the museum. Upon retrieving and perusing this book, players will unlock a fresh activity, with the Hong Kong Landmark landing site promptly being added to their Earth map.
As Starfield prohibits players from fast traveling while inside buildings or aboard ships, they must first exit these locations in order to travel to Earth and explore its iconic features. However, once outside, the process remains unchanged - players can easily navigate by opening their map, setting a desired destination, and initiating landing procedures.
Arriving at the Hong Kong Landmark landing site, players will be greeted by the towering International Commerce Center that stretches into the sky. Apart from capturing a few snapshots using Starfield's Photo Mode and acquiring the Hong Kong snow globe from atop one of the rocks near the damaged part of the building, there is not much else to do. If their active objective is to visit the Hong Kong Landmark on Earth, players can simply follow the blue quest marker for guidance. Starfield is currently accessible on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
