How do Cellars Work in Diablo 4?Every Cellar in the Scosglen Region
Cellars in Scosglen that Demand Side Quests
It is common knowledge that within Diablo 4 lies an expansive terrain abundant with hidden treasures. From Dungeons and Altars of Lilith to Faded Plaques, there awaits a plethora of captivating artifacts to uncover. The alluring realms meticulously designed by Blizzard in Diablo 4 may effortlessly divert one's attention from the primary quest.
Cellars are present in all regions of the map and prove to be highly rewarding. While they are brief, they offer valuable rewards. The majority of cellars feature uncomplicated and linear challenges that involve defeating powerful enemies to claim treasures. However, there are a handful of cellars that offer a unique twist, incorporating puzzles, traps, or special events.
How do Cellars Work in Diablo 4?
In Diablo 4, cellars can be found scattered throughout the game world, either concealed within secluded areas or conveniently positioned along the roadside. Although not marked on the map, these hidden chambers will be automatically revealed on the player's minimap when they are nearby.
Upon entering a cellar, players will come across a concise and straightforward map comprising an antechamber, a small hallway, and a medium-sized room. Within this room lies an objective that requires completion. Generally, this objective involves defeating a formidable foe, although there are instances where players must rescue a civilian, cleanse a shrine, or solve a puzzle.
Upon successful completion of the cellar's objective, players will be rewarded with a treasure chest that matches the level of effort exerted. Cellars housing shrines, however, do not yield a chest, as the rewards lie in the effects bestowed by the shrines themselves. Additionally, players often have the opportunity to find the following loot:
Gold and XP
Crafting Materials
Rare and Legendary Items
Demon Hearts
Sacred Weapons
Every Cellar in the Scosglen Region
The Scosglen region, situated on the northern side of the map, encompasses a vast expanse of lushly forested terrain. Within this area, a remarkable discovery awaits players as they come across a total of 26 cellars. However, to access three of these cellars, players must first fulfill specific Side Quests, which are distinguished on the image above by a distinctive blue star. The remaining cellars, though, are open to all adventurers who chance upon them, inviting them to explore and complete their challenges.
