As players venture east of Limgrave in Elden Ring, they may assume that Caelid is the next logical area to explore after defeating Godrick the Grafted. However, this assumption could prove to be a costly mistake, as Caelid is home to a host of formidable monsters and boss battles that are sure to test even the most skilled players. In fact, many who set foot in Caelid quickly realize that they must look elsewhere for the true next area to conquer after Limgrave.

In Elden Ring's Caelid region, the challenge of facing the Scarlet Rot-infested bosses adds an extra layer of difficulty for Tarnished players. These bosses are notoriously tough to defeat and some even have the ability to inflict Rot on unsuspecting players. Despite the dangers, only the bravest Tarnished adventurers are willing to venture into this hazardous area to claim the valuable drops and Runes from each boss. Additionally, resourceful players can also find powerful weapons and upgrade materials in Caelid, giving them an edge against early-game foes.

All Caelid Bosses Locations And Drops In Elden Ring

Caelid is considerably smaller than all the other regions, which is why it can only be split into two sections; Dragonbarrow and Main Caelid.

Black Blade Kindred

To access the Bestial Sanctum, one must first face the formidable Black Blade Kindred at its entrance. The most efficient route to reach this location is through the Waygate located near the Third Church of Marika in Limgrave. Upon successfully defeating the Black Blade Kindred boss, players will be rewarded with 88,000 Runes, as well as the highly coveted Gargoyle's Blackblade and Gargoyle's Black Halberd.

Flying Dragon Greyll

Located on the bridge southeast of the Bestial Sanctum, Flying Dragon Greyll awaits challengers. The Poison Moth Flight, along with 8,500 Runes, can be found by defeating the bosses of the second Night's Cavalry located to the east of the Caelid Highway South Site of Lost Grace. It's important to note that these bosses only appear during the nighttime.

Putrid Tree Spirit

Upon defeating the Beastman of Farum Azula, players can obtain valuable rewards. The main boss can be found inside the Dragonbarrow Cave, just south of the Bestial Sanctum in Caelid. The rewards include 65,000 Runes and an Elden Ring Talisman known as the Flamedrake Talisman +2.

Putrid Avatar

The Putrid Avatar, located south of the Bestial Sanctum in Dragonbarrow, bears resemblance to the Erdtree Avatar, but distinguishes itself with its use of Scarlet Rot in combat. Eliminating this formidable foe yields a reward of 91,000 Runes, as well as the Opaline Hardtear and the Stonebarb Cracked Tear.

If you happen to be in Caelid, keep an eye out for one just outside the Isolated Merchant's Shack, located to the west of the Divine Tower of Caelid. Taking down this formidable beast will net you a generous reward of 50,000 Runes and the highly coveted Gravity Stone Peddler's Bell Bearing.

Erdtree Burial Watchdog

The Minor Erdtree Catacombs, situated to the west of the Isolated Merchant’s Shack, is where you'll find the Erdtree Burial Watchdog. This boss battle entails fighting two Erdtree Burial Watchdogs simultaneously. Defeating them will yield 7,400 Runes and the coveted Mad Pumpkin Head Ashes.

Erdtree Avatar

The Erdtree Avatar can be encountered towards the north of the Shack of Rotting in Caelid, close to the Minor Erdtree. Upon successfully defeating it, you will be rewarded with 9,600 Runes, a Greenburst Crystal Tear, and the Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear.

Magma Wyrm

Mad Pumpkin Head Duo

Located inside the Gael tunnel in the southwest of the Forsaken Ruins, players can encounter one of the many formidable Magma Wyrm bosses in Elden Ring. Defeating this dragon-like boss rewards players with 7,500 Runes, a valuable Dragon Heart, and the Moonveil.

In the Caelem Ruins located east of the Forsaken Ruins, there are two Mad Pumpkin Heads engaged in a boss fight. One of them brandishes a flail while the other utilizes a hammer. Taking them down will reward players with 6,300 Runes and grant access to a treasure chest containing the coveted Visage Shield.

Frenzied Duelist

The Frenzied Duelist can be fought in the last room of the Gaol Cave, north of Caelid Waypoint Ruins. Beating him grants 6,700 Runes and the Putrid Corpse Ashes.

Fallingstar Beast

The Sellia Crystal Tunnel, located southwest of the Divine Tower of Caelid, is home to the formidable Fallingstar Beast, which serves as the final boss. To reach it quickly, players can activate the trap chest inside Dragon-Burnt Ruins.

Defeating the Fallingstar Beast gives Tarnished 7,600 Runes, as well as Somberstone Miner's Bell Bearing (1), five Smithing Stones (7), and a Somber Smithing Stone (6).

Nox Swordstress and Nox Priest

In Nokron, the Eternal City, players may have come across Nox Swordstress and Nox Priest as typical foes. However, in Caelid, these enemies appear as a boss duo located near the Sellia Crystal Tunnel. The Battlemage Hugues is inside the Sellia Evergaol, southwest of Fort Faroth in Caelid. Beating the mage rewards Tarnished 7,800 Runes and the Battlemage Hugues Ashes.

Commander O'Neil

Located in the Aeonia Swamp, Commander O'Neil can be found near the Lost Grace Shore Site. Eliminating the commander not only rewards the player with 12,000 Runes and the Commander's Standard, but also grants access to the coveted Unalloyed Gold Needle. This needle plays a crucial role in the questlines of NPC characters Gowry and Millicent.

Decaying Ekzykes

One can encounter the Decaying Ekzykes, a dragon suffering from the effects of the Scarlet Rot, by venturing towards the east from the Caelid Highroad South bonfire. Defeating the wounded dragon not only yields 38,000 Runes but also rewards the victor with a Dragon Heart.

Cemetery Shade

Situated in the southernmost regions of Caelid, the Caelid Catacombs provide players with an opportunity to face the formidable Cemetery Shade. Defeating this boss rewards players with 6,800 Runes and the highly coveted Kindred of Rot Ashes.

Death Rite Bird

The Death Rite Bird, like the Night’s Cavalry, is only found during the nighttime. To challenge this boss, players can venture southeast from the Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank Site of Lost Grace. Upon defeating the Death Rite Bird, players will receive a reward of 15,000 Runes and Death's Poker.

Elder Dragon Greyoll

Nestled beside Fort Faroth in Caelid, Elder Dragon Greyoll is revered as the progenitor of all dragons. Some players have discovered methods to exploit Greyoll's weaknesses and maximize their Rune yield from defeating this formidable boss. Those who emerge victorious are rewarded with a bounty of 74,000 Runes and five Dragon Hearts.

Crystalians Trio

There are three Crystalians in the Sellia Hideaway right under Fort Faroth. The three bosses are; Crystallian (Spear), Crystallian (Ringblade), and Crystallian (Staff).

Those who successfully defeat Starscourge Radahn will earn Tarnished 70,000 Runes, as well as the Remembrance of the Starscourge and Radahn's Great Rune.

Crucible Knight and Misbegotten Warrior

For those who venture into Redmane Castle prior to defeating Radahn, they will encounter a formidable challenge from both the Crucible Knight and Misbegotten while making their way towards Radahn's Festival.
