Serving as a replacement for the Sheikah Slate, Ultrahand allows players to pick up items and objects, and then use Fuse to combine them together. Disguised as an in-game news update, players can acquire three downloadable items: an Octo Balloon, Zonai Rocket device, and a Travelers Shield. The accompanying description provides some exciting possibilities for these items, such as attaching the Balloon to the shield to enable slow floating, or connecting the rocket to the shield for a rapid ascent.

To redeem the items, players should select the News icon on the main dashboard. This will display the latest available stories. Scroll through the options until a Tears of the Kingdom specific story titled "Shields - perfectly designed for...flight?!" appears. Click on the story to open it and you will find an option to "Play Now," which will launch the game. When the save loads, Link will receive the three items, which are ideal for crossing gaps or reaching higher elevations.

The in-game creativity has not only impacted Tears of the Kingdom fans within the game but also those outside of it. Recently, Zelda enthusiasts have been making real-life versions of some of the Tears of the Kingdom recipes, such as Hylian Tomato Pizza and Wildberry Crepes.
