In Diablo 4, a lucky German player recently obtained the first Melted Heart of Selig, marking the drop of all six Chase Uniques. Player opinions differ regarding the rarity of these ultra-rare Uniques, with some preferring their exclusivity and others advocating for increased accessibility. However, it is worth noting that endgame builds do not rely on these Uniques as they can still effectively conquer Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons using standard Uniques and Legendaries.
The rarity trend began with the drop of the Harlequin Crest on June 9 in Diablo 4. Over the following month, a total of eight players managed to acquire one of these highly sought-after pieces of gear. The community witnessed the appearance of various exciting items such as Andariel's Visage, The Grandfather, Harlequin Crests, Doombringers, a Ring of the Starless Skies, and Melted Hearts of Selig.
While it was reported that a Chinese Necromancer was the world's first player to obtain a Melted Heart of Selig in the Blind Burrows dungeon on June 29, a German player managed to slip under the radar and have some luck the day before. On June 28, chabbaworkie innocently sought advice on the Diablo 4 subreddit on how to utilize a Melted Heart of Selig, completely unaware of its rarity or significance within the community.
Due to the recent occurrence of extremely rare Uniques dropping after the new Diablo 4 patch, many players have openly speculated that Blizzard Entertainment secretly increased the drop rate without any official notice. With Diablo 4's seasonal content in mind, the pursuit of these items will undoubtedly intensify once Season 1 commences in mid-July. This time, Early Access does not provide any advantages, meaning all Diablo 4 players vying for World First will begin on an even playing field – whether it be for reaching Level 100, defeating the Pinnacle Boss, or acquiring one of the six Uniques.
Blizzard's Diablo 4 has achieved significant success, despite receiving some complaints and criticisms from its passionate community. These voices are driven by the desire for the game to reach even greater heights. With the announcement of two expansions, the developers will have ample time to expand upon the game's foundation. Currently, there are only six Uniques that hold a top-tier position, but it is highly likely that this number will increase in future Seasons. Diablo 4 can be enjoyed on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
