The anniversary stream showcased a diverse lineup of isekai fantasy series and high school romantic comedies that will soon grace our screens. Based on the materials unveiled, fans can expect the arrival of KonoSuba, Banished From the Heroes' Party, and Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian to be among the first releases.

As reported by Anime New Network, Sneaker Bunko's Sunday event revealed that the following titles would be given the screen treatment:

KonoSuba Season 3 (2024)

The list includes only two new fantasy series: Magical Explorer and Insipid Prince. In Magical Explorer, the protagonist is transported to a video game world but ends up as a sidekick instead of the hero he desired to be. On the other hand, Insipid Prince tells the story of a powerful but less popular royal sibling who chooses to work undercover as an adventurer to support his brother's reign.

Out of these announcements, KonoSuba and Banished From the Heroes' Party received full promotional trailers and have estimated premiere dates. Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian showcased its key visuals and staff details, including the involvement of the studio Doga Kobo in producing the anime. Based on this information, it is likely that Alya will also air in 2024, while the other announced shows will take longer to release. Additionally, the event mentioned the upcoming release of a new volume in the Haruhi Suzumiya novel series.

Sneaker Bunko offers a wide selection of fantasy and student rom-coms. Among them, Insipid Prince stands out as the sole non-isekai fantasy. This demonstrates the enduring popularity of both genres, despite some critiques of market saturation. Kadokawa clearly believes there is still untapped potential, as they continue to produce more. These genres will remain prominent in the anime landscape for the foreseeable future. KonoSuba, with its slapstick comedy, has garnered a devoted fanbase and is deserving of a comeback.
