After their memorable portrayal of siblings on Party of Five for six seasons, Lacey Chabert and Scott Wolf are coming together once again, reuniting after 23 years for Hallmark's 2023 Countdown to Christmas.

Chabert, aged 40, and Wolf, aged 55, will be joining forces once again as a sister-brother duo in the upcoming original movie, A Merry Scottish Christmas. Best known for their roles as Claudia and Bailey Salinger in the Fox series from 1994 to 2000, the talented actors will be reuniting on screen. Written by Andrea Canning and Audrey Schulman, the film is set to premiere later this year as part of the network's annual holiday programming event.

Chabert expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating, "Scott and I have discussed collaborating on another venture for years. Upon reading this captivating story about siblings facing crucial decisions, we both recognized it as the perfect opportunity." Wolf shares her excitement and looks forward to sharing the screen once again with his long-time friend.

"Collaborating with Lacey on Party of Five remains one of my most cherished experiences," expressed the Nancy Drew actor enthusiastically on Tuesday. "The opportunity to reunite after all these years and share in the creation of such a captivating narrative is truly a dream come true."

The movie will center around Lindsay (Chabert) and Brad (Wolf), long-lost siblings, as they embark on a journey to Scotland during the Christmas season with the aim of reuniting with their mother, Jo (Fiona Bell). However, upon their arrival, a significant family secret surfaces, potentially altering the course of everything.

“We cannot contain our excitement as Lacey and Scott are brought back together, and we are confident that this enchanting film will capture the hearts of our audience,” expressed Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President of Programming at Hallmark Media, during a statement on Tuesday. “The nostalgic feeling of witnessing Lacey and Scott's heartfelt reunion on the silver screen will undoubtedly be a delightful holiday gift for our beloved viewers.”

Content: Lacey Chabert has established herself as a prominent figure in the Hallmark family with her appearance in over 25 films for the network, while Scott Wolf, although relatively new, made his debut in the 2019 film A Christmas Love Story alongside Kristin Chenoweth.

"These movies hold great significance for me, and I truly mean it," Chabert expressed exclusively to We in October 2021 regarding her involvement in both holiday and year-round Hallmark films. "They are more than just jobs, and I feel a sense of duty to deliver the best possible movie for the audience."

The acclaimed star of Mean Girls stressed that she consistently strives to surpass expectations with each project, aiming to engage fans and ensure their continued support.

"When someone invites you into their living room for two hours, it's quite an honor," Chabert expressed to Us. "My goal is to leave people with a positive and uplifting experience."

On the other hand, Wolf has been portraying the character of Carson Drew on The CW's Nancy Drew since 2019. In that same year, he openly shared with Us his experience of rewatching scenes from his previous role in Party of Five, a renowned family drama celebrated for its heartfelt moments.

“There’s a specific moment where my character, Bailey, sacrifices himself one last time for the family. He decides not to go to school so that my sister, Julia (played by Neve Campbell), can attend instead. It's a powerful scene. I'm actually getting emotional talking about it! Despite all the time that has passed, there's a beautiful scene between the brothers, Charlie (played by Matthew Fox) and Bailey, that perfectly captures who he was throughout the entire series. It was incredibly moving to see because I had forgotten about that scene." Despite not allowing my children to watch the show yet, I have actually contemplated letting them watch it because of how relatable the story still is today."

"I believe that my children frequently hear the mention of 'Party of Five' to the point where it becomes a significant presence in our lives. Hence, it would be intriguing to finally associate a face with that concept," he expressed to Us. "I frequently engage in conversations with individuals who are currently watching the show alongside their families, and they often remark on the genuine and timeless nature of its stories. In the past, it served as a fascinating icebreaker for parents and their children, and I believe I would also make the most of that opportunity."
