Highlights
The Compound Bow should be included in Killing Floor 3 as a regular weapon for more players to access, as it is currently only available through DLC in KF2.
Including the AA-12 Auto Shotgun in Killing Floor 3 will enhance the gameplay experience for Support perk users, maintaining their engagement with the Support class.
The inclusion of the iconic Zweihander sword and other weapons associated with the Berserker perk should be seriously considered for Killing Floor 3, as they possess distinctive and gratifying gameplay mechanics.
The Killing Floor series features a plethora of beloved weapons that players enjoy using to annihilate the waves of specimens and other terrifying creatures. With the upcoming release of Killing Floor 3, players can look forward to a plethora of new weapons to utilize, experiment with, and obliterate their enemies. However, this doesn't mean that exceptional weapons from the previous titles should be left behind.
Both the original Killing Floor and Killing Floor 2 offer an extensive selection of weapons across various perks for players to wield. Choosing which ones should make their way to the next installment can be challenging due to the sheer number available. Nevertheless, formidable weapons and those with distinctive features and flair would undeniably shine in the upcoming addition to the series.
Compound Bow
The Crossbow and Compound Bow weapons that come with the Sharpshooter perk are highly distinctive in Killing Floor 2. Not only are they unique as non-firearm weapons outside the Berserker perk, but they also offer the advantage of retrieving their ammo after being fired. This adds a strategic element when using these weapons, particularly during lengthy waves where ammo may be scarce. It would be fantastic to include both the Crossbow and Compound Bow in Killing Floor 3. However, the Compound Bow holds a greater level of power compared to the Crossbow and is currently only available through DLC in KF2. Therefore, making it a regular weapon in the new installment would grant access to a wider range of players.
AA-12 Auto Shotgun
The AA-12 Auto Shotgun is a crucial weapon for any player using the Support perk in Killing Floor 2. Not only does it deliver powerful fully-automatic shotgun blasts, but it also offers a convenient reloading mechanism that sets it apart from other shotguns. In the upcoming Killing Floor game, Tripwire has a great opportunity to explore and test new possibilities for the Support perk. Welding doors can sometimes feel ineffective on certain maps, so reintroducing the AA-12 would undoubtedly retain players' interest in playing support, thanks to its undeniable strength.
Zweihander
Guns may be effective for killing zombies, but the exhilaration of slaughtering hordes with a massive sword known as the "Zweihander" is unrivaled. The Berserker perk in Killing Floor offers a wide array of iconic weapons, such as the Battle Axe, Bone Crusher, and the Static Shockers, which could easily find their place in Killing Floor 3's arsenal. However, there is a certain undeniable charm to the Zweihander sword. The Berserker perk in Killing Floor allows for immense creativity, as Tripwire has the opportunity to explore the most efficient and brutal ways to eliminate enemies. This opens up the possibility for exciting new concepts in Killing Floor 3, and hopefully, the inclusion of the legendary Zweihander as well.
Thermite Bore
Firebug stands out as a unique perk in both Killing Floor games, despite not being a popular choice among players. However, the burn damage inflicted by this perk's weapons can prove to be immensely valuable. Among these weapons, the Thermite Bore, in particular, showcases exceptional effectiveness and is hailed as one of Tripwire's finest additions to the Firebug perk.
Due to its status as a DLC weapon, only a limited number of players have had the opportunity to experience the Thermite Bore's firepower, much like the Compound Bow. Nevertheless, there is potential for Tripwire to introduce the Thermite Bore as a main weapon in Killing Floor 3, thereby elevating its status to an iconic level within the upcoming installment of the series.
Killing Floor 3 is currently in development.
